I guess Obama Got Sick Of Hearing the Bad NewsOn A Daily Basis!

At some point during the first two years of his administration, President Obama stopped receiving the daily economic briefing that he requested when he took office.

Former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs announced at his own first daily briefing reporters that Obama asked for the daily economic briefing, described then as comparable to the daily intelligence briefing the president gets every morning.

“The president asked that this be added every day to his schedule,” Gibbs said at the time. Gibbs added that Obama believed it is “important that each day he receive the most up to date information as it relates to the economy.”

But at some point, the daily economic briefings stopped showing up on Obama's daily schedule.

White House officials said the meetings slowly petered out, but Obama still receives a daily economic briefing on paper.

“The president requests regular meetings several times a week and daily updates from his economic policy team, just as he does with his national security team and other senior advisers in the White House,” one administration official said.

Additionally, the official said, the president gets daily briefing documents from his National Economic Council and regular updates from Vice President Biden.

White House spokeswoman Amy Brundage said the president receives updates and briefings on the economy in a number of ways.

Brundage said in an email that "the president routinely meets with members of his economic team, both on an individual basis and in groups, and receives updates from his economic staff from their daily staff meeting."

"In addition, he receives daily briefing documents from the National Economic Council and gets regular updates from the vice president on a series of issues, including the ongoing deficit negotiations," Brundage said. "The president also requests meetings with outside economists and experts."

When Obama entered office, the economy was shedding as many as 600,000 jobs a month and the nation was in the midst of a deep recession.

Since then, the economy has recovered to a degree, though it remains a huge political issue and is seen as the big topic for the 2012 presidential race.

The national unemployment rate for May was 9.1 percent, and while the sum of 54,000 jobs added was far less than the administration had hoped, it did bring the streak of months with positive job growth to 15.

Of the key members of President Obama's original economic team, soon only Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner will be left.

Council of Economic Advisers chair Christina Romer left in September 2010. Her replacement, Austan Goolsbee, announced yesterday that this summer he will return to teaching at the University of Chicago. National Economic Council director Larry Summers returned to Harvard in January. Office of Management and Budget director Peter Orszag left last July.

Obama's Economic Recovery A First Class Joke!

There is an unfortunate adage for the unemployed: The longer folks are out of a job, the longer it takes them to find a new one.

CBS News correspondent Ben Tracy reports that the chronically unemployed face the hardest road back to recovery, and that while the jobs picture may be improving statistically on a national level, it is not for them.

Tinong Nwachan, for example, has far too much time on his hands. When CBS News met the former truck driver he had been out of work for two years.

"I don't really tell too many people this but I'm not ashamed or nothing, I'm homeless," Nwachan said.

Nearly 14 million Americans are looking for work

His day job is looking for work at a jobs center in Hollywood. He has plenty of company, including Fabian Lambrecht, who wonders when the economy's improvement will affect them.

"They're saying there are more jobs. I'm just wondering where those jobs are," Lambrecht said.

About 6.2 million Americans, 45.1 percent of all unemployed workers in this country, have been jobless for more than six months - a higher percentage than during the Great Depression.

The bigger the gap on someone's resume, the more questions employers have.

"(Employers) think: 'Oh, well, there must be something really wrong with them because they haven't gotten a job in 6 months, a year, 2 years.' But that's not necessarily the case," said Marjorie Gardner-Cruse with the Hollywood Worksource Center.

The problem of course is the economy, but some industries, especially certain manufacturing jobs, are not ever expected to come back. Experts say unemployed workers need to be prepared to change careers.

"That person has to realize that, discover what field they want to work in, become trained and find a job in that field," said Jerry Nickelsburg, Sr., an economist at UCLA.

Here's another problem: more than 1 million of the long-term unemployed have run out of unemployment benefits, leaving them without the money to get new training, buy new clothes, or even get to job interviews.

"If you have been unemployed for 6 months or more, it takes a much deeper toll - not just on your personal finances and your career prospects - but on your emotional well-being," said Paul Taylor, an executive vice president with the Pew Research Center.

Tinong Nwachan said no matter how hard it's been, he isn't giving up on his search.

"I'm taking everything one day at a time. Eventually I know I'm gonna find something," Nwachan said.

All he says he's hoping for is a job that will take more of his time, and take him off the streets.

Palin and Bachman - The Media's Nightmare!

I know why these two scare Liberals so bad, they are honest! Something that is very foreign to liberals.

Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin are taking the Republican presidential race by storm — even though neither has formally announced they will run.

The former Alaska governor and the Minnesota congresswoman, who insist they are friends not rivals, are showing all the signs that they will provide GOP voters with their first genuine opportunity to vote for a female in the White House in 12 years.

Each has the money, the backing, and the name recognition to go the distance against the men. And, as GOP Pollster Kellyanne Conway points out, their “groomed attractiveness” is also a major plus.

“They look like homecoming queens, but they talk like Ronald Reagan. Who wouldn’t want that combination?” Conway tellsT he Washington Post.

Conway says Republican women voters increasingly want candidates to whom they can relate.

“While other male politicians were building their careers, these women were making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches,” Conway told the Post. “The populist appeal is right for these times.”

Voters now identify with more mainstream, entrepreneurial candidates without Ivy League educations, she said.

The two potential candidates share many characteristics. Both have five children. Neither is afraid to say exactly what’s on her mind, even if it is something that more timid politicians would shy away from, and both appeal to tea party activists.

The history of viable women candidates for the nation’s top office is embarrassingly short, Hillary Clinton’s 2008 bid in which she conceded to Barack Obama only after the final primary being easily the most successful. The only other Democrat to make a serious bid was Shirley Chisholm, who received 152 votes at the 1972 convention.

On the Republican side, Margaret Chase Smith went all the way to the 1964 convention before Barry Goldwater defeated her, and Elizabeth Dole ran for the 2000 nomination but pulled out before the primary season because of a lack of funding.

But Bachmann and Palin seem to be in the right place at the right time to follow in the footsteps of world leaders such as Margaret Thatcher and Indira Gandhi. In the revolution that marked the 2010 midterm elections, there were nine new GOP women in the House, one in the Senate and three new women governors.

And conservative women have become more of a political force since the 2008 election, especially in the tea party, where they have taken on many leading roles.

But the question still remains as to whether either Palin or Bachmann can beat out the men. The most recent odds offered by online gambling site Paddy Power puts them in a tie for fourth place at 12-1 behind Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty, and Jon Huntsman, but ahead of other candidates including Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, and Rick Santorum.

AdvantageInsider Pollster and President Matt Towery notes to Newsmax that any current poll numbers for Palin or Bachmann need to take women voters into account. “As women voters get to know a woman candidate, the voters tend to migrate towards that candidate. The percentage of women voters leaning towards a woman candidate increases as you get deeper into the primaries.”

Bachmann is believed to be on the verge of officially announcing her candidacy — on Monday, she tapped political strategist Ed Rollins to run her presidential campaign — and most political observers consider Palin to be the more likely to win if they both declare.

But Bachmann already has a war chest of more than $3 million, which should be enough to allow her to stay in the race at least until the first primaries. The hiring of Rollins, who was Mike Huckabee's national campaign director in 2008 and ran the Reagan-Bush re-election campaign in 1984, is another sign she's serious about running.

Americans' disapproval of how President Barack Obama is handling the economy and its growing budget deficit has reached new highs amid broad frustration over the slow pace of economic recovery, according to a Washington Post-ABC New poll released on Tuesday.

The ratings boost Obama received after the killing of Osama bin Laden has dissipated with his job approval rating back to 47 percent. Forty-nine percent disapprove of his performance.

Obama's approval rating bounced to 56 immediately after bin Laden was killed last month.

Fifty-nine percent, a new high, gave Obama negative marks for his handling of the economy, up from 55 percent a month earlier.

Obama's approval rating on the deficit issue hit a new low of 33 percent, down 6 points since April.

The state of the economy poses a huge challenge for the president, whose re-election in 2012 may depend on his ability to convince voters that his economic policies have been successful.

The survey reflects a broadly pessimistic public mood as high gasoline prices, sliding home values and high unemployment numbers raised concerns about the pace of the U.S. economic recovery, The Washington Post said.

Eighty-nine percent of Americans say the economy is in bad shape; 57 percent say the recovery has not started and 66 percent said the United States was seriously on the wrong track.

Forty-five percent said they trust congressional Republicans over Obama to handle the economy, up 11 points since March.

The poll shows Obama leading five out of six potential Republican presidential rivals but in a dead heat with former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney.

Among all Americans, Obama and Romney are tied at 47 percent each. Among registered voters, Romney is ahead 49 percent to 46 percent.

Romney, the Republican front-runner, last week launched his second presidential campaign, saying Obama's economic policies were to blame for America's many economic woes.

The poll of 1,002 adults was conducted June 2-5 and has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

Obamacare Destroys Health Care From Employers!

Our horrible president said that this would not happen if we passed his health care bill. Guess what? It's happening and he knew it would!

Thirty percent of employers will definitely or probably stop offering health benefits to their employees once the main provisions of President Obama's federal health care law go into effect in 2014, a new survey finds.

The research published in the McKinsey Quarterly found that the number rises to 50 percent among employers who are highly aware of the health care law.

McKinsey and Company, which identifies itself as a management consultant that aims to help businesses run more productively and competitively, conducted the survey of more than 1,300 employers earlier this year. It said the survey spanned industries, geographies and employer sizes.

According to the survey, at least 30 percent of employers would reap financial gain from dropping coverage even if they compensated employees for the change through other benefit offerings or higher salaries.

The research notes among the new provisions that could spur employers to drop coverage is a requirement of all employers with more than 50 employees to offer health benefits to every full-timer or pay a penalty of $2,000 per worker. Those benefits must also be equal between highly compensated executives and hourly employees – requirements that will increase medical costs for many companies.

The findings are distinct from a Congressional Budget Office estimate that only about 7 percent of employees who currently get health coverage through their jobs would have to switch to subsidized-exchange polices in 2014.

The group said its variance is so wide because shifting away from employer-sponsored insurance "will be economically rational not only for many of them but also for their lower-income employees, given the law's incentives."

The research found that contrary to what many employers feared, most employees -- more than 85 percent -- would stay at jobs that no longer offered health benefits. But 60 percent of employees would expect higher compensation.

Lying Is Easy For Liberals! Obama, Weiner, et al.

With some of the economic indicators looking a bit dicey, President Obama traveled to Ohio last week to tout what the administration considers a good-news story: the rescue of the domestic automobile industry. In fact, he also made it the subject of his weekly radio address.

We take no view on whether the administration’s efforts on behalf of the automobile industry were a good or bad thing; that’s a matter for the editorial pages and eventually the historians. But we are interested in the facts the president cited to make his case.

What we found is one of the most misleading collections of assertions we have seen in a short presidential speech. Virtually every claim by the president regarding the auto industry needs an asterisk, just like the fine print in that too-good-to-be-true car loan.

Let’s look at the claims in the order in which the president said them.

“Chrysler has repaid every dime and more of what it owes American taxpayers for their support during my presidency — and it repaid that money six years ahead of schedule. And this week, we reached a deal to sell our remaining stake. That means soon, Chrysler will be 100 percent in private hands.”
Wow, “every dime and more” sounds like such a bargain. Not only did Chrysler pay back the loan, with interest — but the company paid back even more than they owed. Isn’t America great or what?

Not so fast. The president snuck in the weasel words “during my presidency” in his statement. What does that mean?

According to the White House, Obama is counting only the $8.5 billion loan that he made to Chrysler, not the $4 billion that President George W. Bush extended in his last month in office. However, Obama was not a disinterested observer at the time. According to The Washington Post article on the Bush loan, the incoming president called Bush’s action a “necessary step . . . to help avoid a collapse of our auto industry that would have had devastating consequences for our economy and our workers.”

Under the administration’s math, the U.S. government will receive $11.2 billion back from Chrysler, far more than the $8.5 billion Obama extended.

Through this sleight-of-hand accounting, the White House can conveniently ignore Bush’s loan, but even the Treasury Department admits that U.S. taxpayers will not recoup about $1.3 billion of the entire $12.5 billion investment when all is said and done.

The White House justifies not counting the Bush money because, it says, that money was completely spent when Obama was making a tough political decision on whether to extend another loan. In other words, a decision to do nothing at the time would have resulted in the immediate loss of the $4 billion that Bush had extended.

This is chicanery. Under the president’s math, Chrysler paid back 100 percent of Obama’s loan and less than 70 percent of Bush’s loan. A more honest presentation would combine the two figures to say U.S. taxpayers got back 90 percent of what they invested. In fact, that is how the Treasury and other administration officials frequently portray it; it is just when Obama speaks that the numbers get so squishy.

The White House justifies saying that Chrysler will be in 100 percent “in private hands” because there will no longer be government ownership once Fiat completes its purchase of the U.S. stake. For the record, the United Auto Workers will own 46 percent of the company.

“All three American automakers are now adding shifts and creating jobs at the strongest rate since the 1990s.”
The White House says the data to back this claim concerning the Big Three automakers is not public information. The official Bureau of Labor Statistics data refers to the entire auto industry — including foreign auto manufacturers, auto parts manufacturers, auto parts dealers and auto dealers. If you look at the data, the 113,200 jobs added between June 2009 and May 2011 amounts to about a 5 percent increase — from a rather low base.

UPDATE, 10:45 AM: Yen Chen, automotive business statistical analyst at the Center for Automotive Research, says CAR's analysis of Big Three auto data shows this statistic is correct. The Detroit Three are expected to add 10,000 hourly and 5,000 salaried workers this year, from a base of 115,805 hourly workers and 56, 432 salaried workers. That's an increase of about eight percent in each case. More than 16,000 hourly workers were added in 1991, but from a much higher base--440,000-- and 10,000 were also added in 1995, when there were 433,000 hourly workers. Meanwhile, salaried workers have been on a steady decline since 1990 (when the big Three employed 157,000).

“GM plans to hire back all of the workers they had to lay off during the recession.”
This is another impressive-sounding but misleading figure. In the five years since 2006, General Motors announced that it would reduce its workforce by nearly 68,000 hourly and salary workers, creating a much smaller company. Those are the figures that generated the headlines.

Obama is only talking about a sliver of workers — the 9,600 workers who were laid off in the fourth quarter of 2008. About 4,100 were sent home for a few weeks. Another 5,500 were put on indefinite leave, meaning there were no jobs at the time for them. All but 1,000 have returned to work, and the rest should be back at work by year’s end, according to GM spokesman Greg A. Martin.

“In the year before I was President, this industry lost more than 400,000 jobs, and two great American companies, Chrysler and GM, stood on the brink of collapse. Now, we had a few options. We could have done what a lot of folks in Washington thought we should do — nothing.”
This is quite a straw man — that many people wanted to do nothing. It was never so black and white. The debate was over the right course to take in the bankruptcy process.

The Wall Street Journal published Monday an interesting conservative critique of the government’s intervention by David Skeel, a law professor at University of Pennsylvania. Skeel says that the revival of the auto industry “is a very encouraging development,” but “to claim that the car companies would have collapsed if the government hadn’t intervened in the way it did, and to suggest that the intervention came at very little cost, is a dangerous misreading of our recent history.”

To support the claim that “a lot of folks” wanted to do nothing, the White House referred us to statements by the House minority leader, John Boehner (R-Ohio), and Sens. Richard Shelby (R-Ala.) and Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.).

We do not read Boehner’s quote that way; in this 2009 comment, he is questioning the administration’s approach while saying, “The success of our automotive industry is critical.”Shelby and Kyl in 2008 were protesting the use of taxpayer funds by Bush to delay a bankruptcy filing; they preferred immediately putting the companies through the bankruptcy process.

It will be up to historians to decide what the best solution would have been for taxpayers and the auto industry. We can understand why the president wants to portray himself as making a lonely and tough decision. But the debate was not either/or, bur rather what was the best policy to bring the automakers back to financial health.

The Pinocchio Test
The president is straining too hard. If the auto industry bailout is really a success, there should be no need to resort to trumped-up rhetoric and phony accounting to make your case. Let the facts speak for themselves.

The Anatomy of a Hostile Government Takeover
Obamacare at six months.

During the long national debate over the future of American health care, President Obama frequently chastised his opponents for launching exaggerated attacks on his plan for “reform.” He took particular exception to the criticism that the changes he was pushing amounted to a government takeover of the whole health sector. He knew full well that this kind of criticism might derail the entire effort in Congress, because most Americans recoil at the thought of a distant and bureaucratic federal government running the health-care system for everyone. So Obama vigorously denied that his program would lead to any such thing. In his Aug. 8, 2009, radio address, he described the “takeover” accusation as “outlandish” and characterized his approach as a mainstream and moderate attempt simply to reform the nation’s private health-insurance system.

It’s now been six months since Congress passed Obamacare — not a long time given the sweeping nature of the legislation and the long phase-in schedule for its most significant provisions. Even so, it is already abundantly clear that Obamacare’s critics were dead right: The new health law has set in motion a government takeover of American health care, and a very hostile one at that. The Obama administration’s clumsy and overbearing behavior since its passage proves the point.

First, there are the heavy-handed statements coming out of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Two weeks ago, HHS secretary Kathleen Sebelius sent a letter to the nation’s insurers with a plainly stated threat: Either the insurers conform to the political agenda of the administration and describe the reasons for premium increases in terms acceptable to the Democratic party, or they will be shut out entirely from the government-managed insurance marketplace. What could possibly have provoked a cabinet secretary to launch such an indiscriminate broadside against an entire industry? Simple: A handful of insurers had dared to utter the truth, noting that the new law has imposed costly insurance mandates that will raise premiums for everyone. For that offense, the federal government has essentially threatened to put the truth-telling insurers out of business. And what’s truly astonishing, and telling, is that the new law almost certainly gives the HHS secretary the power to do so if she really wants to.

Then there is the matter of Dr. Donald Berwick. Recall that President Obama took more than a year to settle on Dr. Berwick as his nominee to head the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) — and then moved in a matter of weeks to put him in place without Senate confirmation. The president tried to blame Republicans for this blatant end-run around constitutional checks and balances, even though Democrats control the Senate and could have held a hearing and a vote if they had wanted to. The truth is that Democrats didn’t want Dr. Berwick to be confirmed in the Senate. They wanted him on the job, for sure, because he is an ardent government-takeover enthusiast, and is prepared to use all of the levers at his disposal to advance that objective. The president and his Democratic allies just wanted to get Dr. Berwick in place without the public’s really noticing. So they chose to circumvent the normal process and put him in the CMS position with a time-limited recess appointment. For the next year and a half, Dr. Berwick is free to use CMS’s enormous new powers to force doctors and hospitals to conform to his vision of effective health care, and he is essentially accountable to no one but the president.

To distract the public from these power plays, the administration decided to launch a series of “information” campaigns that are plainly political and filled with all manner of distortions. HHS sent a letter to the nation’s Medicare beneficiaries supposedly explaining what the new law will mean for them. Somehow, it failed to mention that the law will cut Medicare by half a trillion dollars over a decade, and cut the value of Medicare Advantage by an average of 27 percent by 2017. HHS followed this up by putting the same distortions on television, in the form of an expensive advertising campaign featuring Andy Griffith.

In the meantime, busy beavers in various corners of the federal bureaucracy are laying plans for new fiefdoms. Thousands of new employees are planned for various offices in HHS, including the new office to regulate private health insurance nationwide. The IRS is gearing up both to enforce with tax penalties the requirement that everyone carry government-approved insurance, and to help administer the massive new entitlement program that will require income verification on tens of millions of applicants. States will also be forced to build new bureaucracies to carry out the scores of tasks the federal government will be ordering them to perform.

Massive bureaucracy. Disinformation campaigns. Blatant power plays. The politicization of decisions that should be made with a focus on patient care. The use of government power to threaten citizens and their livelihood.

This is what Obamacare has brought us. And that’s just in its first six months.

Neglecting Allies and Appeasing Foes

In yesterday's New York Times, International Herald Tribune columnist Roger Cohen reported: "Since taking office, President Obama has reached out to the Muslim world as a whole, to China, to Turkey and to Iran, but has devoted scant serious diplomatic energy to Europe." Cohen then went on to quote prominent Paris-based defense analyst Camille Grand: "Europe is the object of benign U.S. neglect. Obama has not established or re-established a strategic relationship with any single European country or with Europe as a whole."

This analysis is dead on. In their report released last week, Defining the Obama Doctrine, Its Pitfalls, and How to Avoid Them, Drs. Kim Holmes and James Carafano detail just some of President Obama's practice of extending an open hand to enemies while rebuffing friends and close allies, including: not welcoming the Dalai Lama to the White House when that dignitary made his first visit to Washington after Obama took office; reversing years of U.S. policy by supporting Argentina over the U.K. on the Falklands; caving to Russia by abandoning our missile defense plans with the Czech Republic and Poland; and backing a Hugo Chavez ally in Honduras.

The problem with this approach is that the U.S. government has a responsibility to the people of America to act in its own and its allies’ best interests. Since World War II the United States has promoted security and liberty throughout the world by creating strong international institutions and alliances that promote self-governance, the rule of law, civil and political rights, property rights and economic opportunities. But partnerships will fall short of our expectations if the countries with which we align share neither our values nor our goals. Rewarding troublemakers while ignoring our allies only emboldens those who do not share our values and demoralizes those that do.

Take the President's campaign to "reset" relations with Russia. As mentioned above, one of President Obama's first acts as President was to betray our Czech and Polish allies by surrendering our plans to build Ground-Based Midcourse Defense interceptors to appease Russia. The culmination of this campaign is the President's New START agreement, which the Senate Foreign Relations Committee is scheduled to vote on this month. In today's Wall Street Journal, former Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security John Bolton explains why New Start Is Unilateral Disarmament:

In pursuing New Start, the Obama administration has essentially jettisoned the 2002 Treaty of Moscow, which only dealt with the limitation of nuclear warheads that were operationally deployed. That freed large numbers of U.S. launchers (land-based and submarine-based ballistic missiles, along with heavy bombers such as the B-2) to carry conventional payloads world-wide—a concept known as "conventional prompt global strike."

Such delivery flexibility is far more important to America than to Russia, given our global interests and alliances. Its wisdom was evident after 9/11, as we fought in Iraq, Afghanistan and beyond. New Start encumbers us with unnecessary constraints that will distort strategic priorities and weapons-development for decades.

Now is no time to be limiting our conventional or nuclear capabilities in the vain hope that Russia will suddenly become a force for liberty and security abroad. As Cohen notes: "The Atlantic relationship remains the cornerstone of world stability even as new powers emerge. With its huge debt, America needs affordable influence; Western allies are the way to find it. The struggle of our age pits the state against the anti-state, with weapons of mass destruction potentially mixed in: The West embodies the values and has the institutions central to winning that fight."

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to address the Council on Foreign Relations today, where she will say of the Obama Doctrine: "Today we can say with confidence that this model of American leadership works." But this claim ignores the realities in Iran, North Korea and Russia. Rewarding these countries will force friendly nations to look elsewhere, not to Washington, for arrangements that bring them greater security. And that will make this a far more dangerous world indeed.

Setting the record straight on “the policies that created this mess in the first place.”

Pres. Barack Obama boldly proclaims, “The buck stops here!” But whenever his policies are criticized, he acts as if the buck stopped with George W. Bush.

The party line that we are likely to be hearing from now until the November elections is that Obama “inherited” the big federal budget deficits and that he has to “clean up the mess” left in the economy by the Republicans. This may convince those who want to be convinced, but it will not stand up under scrutiny.

No president of the United States can create either a budget deficit or a budget surplus. All spending bills originate in the House of Representatives and all taxes are voted into law by Congress.

Democrats controlled both houses of Congress before Barack Obama became president. The deficit he inherited was created by the congressional Democrats, including Sen. Barack Obama, who did absolutely nothing to oppose the runaway spending. He was one of the biggest of the big spenders.

The last time the federal government had a budget surplus, Bill Clinton was president, so it was called “the Clinton surplus.” But Republicans controlled the House of Representatives, where all spending bills originate, for the first time in 40 years. It was also the first budget surplus in more than a quarter of a century.

The only direct power that any president has that can affect deficits and surpluses is the power to veto spending bills. President Bush did not veto enough spending bills, but Senator Obama and his fellow Democrats in control of Congress were the ones who passed the spending bills.

Today, with Barack Obama in the White House, allied with Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi in charge in Congress, the national debt is a bigger fraction of the annual national output than it has been in more than half a century. And that fraction is projected to continue going up for years to come, becoming larger than national output in 2012.

Having created this scary situation, President Obama now says, “Don’t give in to fear. Let’s reach for hope.” The voters reached for hope when they elected Obama. The fear comes from what he has done since taking office.

“The worst thing we could do is to go back to the very same policies that created this mess in the first place,” he said recently. “In November, you’re going to have that choice.”

Another political fable is that the current economic downturn is due to not enough government regulation of the housing and financial markets. But it was precisely the government regulators, under pressure from politicians, who forced banks and other lending institutions to lower their standards for making mortgage loans.

These risky loans, and the defaults that followed, were what set off a chain reaction of massive financial losses that brought down the whole economy.

Was this due to George W. Bush and the Republicans? Only partly. Most of those who pushed the lowering of mortgage-lending standards were Democrats — notably Rep. Barney Frank and Sen. Christopher Dodd — though too many Republicans went along.

At the heart of these policies were Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, which bought huge amounts of risky mortgages, passing the risk on from the banks that lent the money (and made the profits) to the taxpayers that were not even aware that they would end up paying in the end.

When President Bush said in 2004 that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac should be reined in, 76 members of the House of Representatives issued a statement to the contrary. These included Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, and Charles Rangel.

If we are going to talk about “the policies that created this mess in the first place,” let’s at least get the facts straight and the names right.

The current policies of the Obama administration are a continuation of the same reckless policies that brought on the current economic problems — all in the name of “change.” Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are still sacred cows in Washington, even though they have already required the biggest bailouts of all.

Why? Because they allow politicians to direct vast sums of money where it will do politicians the most good, either personally or in terms of buying votes in the next election.

Barack Obama is my college classmate ( Columbia University , class of '83). As Glenn Beck correctly predicted from day one, Obama is following the
plan of Cloward and Piven, two professors at Columbia University .. They outlined a plan to socialize America by overwhelming the system with
government spending and entitlement demands. Add up the clues below. Taken individually they're alarming. Taken as a whole, it is a brilliant,
Machiavellian game plan to turn the United States into a socialist/Marxist state with a permanent majority that desperately needs government for
survival .... and can be counted on to always vote for bigger government. Why not? They have no responsibility to pay for it.

-- Universal health care. The health care bill had very little to do with health care. Â It had everything to do with unionizing millions of
hospital and health care workers, as well as adding 15,000 to 20,000 new IRS agents (who will join government employee unions). Obama doesn't care
that giving free health care to 30 million Americans will add trillions to the national debt. What he does care about is that it cements the
dependence of those 30 million voters to Democrats and big government. Who but a socialist revolutionary would pass this reckless spending bill in
the middle of a depression?

-- Cap and trade. Like health care legislation having nothing to do with health care, cap and trade has nothing to do with global warming. It has
everything to do with redistribution of income, government control of the economy and a criminal payoff to Obama's biggest contributors. Those
powerful and wealthy unions and contributors (like GE, which owns NBC, MSNBC and CNBC) can then be counted on to support everything Obama wants.
They will kickback hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions to Obama and the Democratic Party to keep them in power. The bonus is that all
the new taxes on Americans with bigger cars, bigger homes and businesses helps Obama "spread the wealth around."

-- Make Puerto Rico a state. Why? Who's asking for a 51st state? Who's asking for millions of new welfare recipients and government entitlement
addicts in the middle of a depression? Certainly not American taxpayers. But this has been Obama's plan all along. His goal is to add two new
Democrat senators, five Democrat congressman and a million loyal Democratic voters who are dependent on big government.

-- Legalize 12 million illegal immigrants. Just giving these 12 million potential new citizens free health care alone could overwhelm the system
and bankrupt America . But it adds 12 million reliable new Democrat voters who can be counted on to support big government. Add another few
trillion dollars in welfare, aid to dependent children, food stamps, free medical, education, tax credits for the poor, and eventually Social
Security.

-- Stimulus and bailouts. Where did all that money go? It went to Democrat contributors, organizations (ACORN), and unions -- including billions of
dollars to save or create jobs of government employees across the country. It went to save GM and Chrysler so that their employees could keep
paying union dues. It went to AIG so that Goldman Sachs could be bailed out (after giving Obama almost $1 million in contributions). A staggering
$125 billion went to teachers (thereby protecting their union dues). Al l those public employees will vote loyally Democrat to protect their
bloated salaries and pensions that are bankrupting America . The country goes broke, future generations face a bleak future, but Obama, the
Democrat Party, government, and the unions grow more powerful. The ends justify the means.

-- Raise taxes on small business owners, high-income earners, and job creators. Put the entire burden on only the top 20 percent of taxpayers,
redistribute the income, punish success, and reward those who did nothing to deserve it (except vote for Obama). Reagan wanted to dramatically cut
taxes in order to starve the government. Obama wants to dramatically raise taxes to starve his political opposition.

With the acts outlined above, Obama and his regime have created a vast and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a
vast privileged class of public employees who work for big government; and a government dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing
themselves as socialist rulers by overwhelming the system.

Add it up and you've got the perfect Marxist scheme -- all devised by my Columbia University college classmate Barack Obama using the Cloward and
Piven Plan.

By not extending the Bush tax cuts he will be enabling one of the largest tax increases in the history of this country during one of the most tenuous economy's we have ever experienced. Why? Defying President Obama, Congress seems increasingly reluctant to let taxes go up, even on wealthier Americans.

Worried about the fragile economy and their own upcoming elections, a growing number of Democratic lawmakers are joining the rock-solid Republican opposition to Mr. Obama's plans to let some of the tax cuts passed under President George W. Bush expire as scheduled at the end of the year.

Democratic leaders in Congress still back Mr. Obama, but the willingness to raise taxes is waning among the rank and file as the stagnant economy threatens the party's majority in the House and Senate.

"In my view, this is no time to do anything that could be jarring to a fragile recovery," said Rep. Gerald E. Connolly of Virginia, a first-term Democrat.

The most sweeping tax cuts in a generation are due to expire in January, and that's setting up a showdown when lawmakers return from their summer vacations this month. By waiting to act on the tax cuts until just before congressional elections in November, Democratic leaders have raised the stakes, politically and for taxpayers.

If Congress fails to act - a possibility given the gridlock that has gripped the Senate - workers at every income level would face significant tax increases next year.

Taxpayers making between $40,000 and $50,000 a year would get hit with an average income tax increase of $923 next year. Those making between $50,000 and $75,000 would face an average increase of $1,126, according to estimates by the nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation.

Mr. Obama wants to make the tax cuts permanent for middle- and low-income families while allowing them to expire for individuals making more than $200,000 and married couples making more than $250,000. Christina Romer, who is resigning as head of Mr. Obama's Council of Economic Advisers on Friday, argued this week that tax cuts for lower-income filers provide far more stimulus to the sagging economy that similar cuts for the wealthier.

But Republicans want to make all the tax cuts permanent, adding nearly $4 trillion to the national debt over the next decade. Most Democrats in Congress still support Mr. Obama's plan, but a growing number have come out in favor of extending all the reductions for a year or two, leaving the outcome very much in doubt.

"It's going to be hard to resist a one-year extension for everybody, given the state of the economy," said Clint Stretch, a tax expert at the consulting firm Deloitte Tax LLP. "That's where I think the ball is moving."

The tax cuts were enacted in 2001 and 2003 under Mr. Bush. They provided help for everyone, reducing the lowest marginal rates as well as the top ones and several in between. They also provided a wide range of income-tax breaks for education, families with children and married couples.

Taxes on capital gains and dividends were reduced, while the federal estate tax was gradually repealed, though only through this year.

Virginia's Mr. Connolly said the nation cannot afford to make all the tax cuts permanent, which would add about $3.9 trillion to the national debt over the next decade according to updated estimates from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.

"I would say certainly a year, until we feel more confident about the economic growth of this economy," he said.

Another freshman Democrat, Rep. Bobby Bright of Alabama, said he would like to see all the tax cuts extended for two or three years, if lawmakers cannot agree on a more permanent plan.

"Party leaders are not my directors or my boss," Mr. Bright said. "My boss is my constituents, and I've heard from a vast majority of my constituents that they don't believe in tax increases on anybody at this point in time."

Mr. Bright is high on the re-election endangered list, one of roughly four dozen Democrats in districts won by Republican presidential nominee Sen. John McCain in 2008.

In the Senate, where Democrats need unity and at least one Republican vote to overcome filibusters, at least three Democrats and independent Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut have said they want to extend all the tax cuts temporarily.

Several Democratic candidates for Senate have also come out in favor of a blanket extension, including Robin Carnahan in Missouri and Jack Conway in Kentucky.

"Jack Conway was in favor of the Bush tax cuts when they first passed [in 2001 and 2003], and he's in favor of extending the Bush tax cuts now," said spokeswoman Allison Haley.

White House economic adviser Jason Furman said it would be a bad idea to extend tax cuts for the wealthier, even for just a year, because it would open the door to making them permanent. Last week, Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. said Republican claims that small businesses would be hurt by the proposed tax increase are a "bunch of malarkey."

David Limbaugh chronicles the reasons for the freefall.

David Limbaugh has a solid track record of writing comprehensive, damning indictments. He’s gone after Janet Reno’s Justice Department. He’s exposed domestic crimes against religious freedom. Now, he has written Crimes against Liberty: An Indictment of President Barack Obama. The full brief is still, of course, a work in progress, but Limbaugh’s timely, hot-off-the-deadline book comes just in time for the final stretch to the November elections — just in time to limit the damage. He talks to National Review Online’s Kathryn Jean Lopez about what has been done and what can still be done.

KATHRYN JEAN LOPEZ: Is Crimes against Liberty a little bit of an I-told-you-so?

DAVID LIMBAUGH: I suppose you could say that, though I don’t derive any pleasure from having accurately discerned Mr. Obama’s character and ideology during the campaign. Many of those who didn’t were permitting themselves to be blinded by fantastic hopes of deliverance from times that, in retrospect, were not as terrible as many claimed. Moreover, as much as I and countless others predicted this national nightmare, Obama has actually been worse, both personally and in terms of his agenda, than most of us anticipated.

The greatest challenge in writing this book was finally putting it to bed, as our president was steadily committing new outrages. I was adding new material every day, but eventually the printer refused any further additions. Still, in the end, I trust readers will find the book remarkably up to date, as both my publisher — Regnery — and the printer were quite accommodating.

LOPEZ: You were calling him a threat to liberty before he was elected, never mind inaugurated. What accounts for his “popularity freefall” now? Did people have to see him in action to believe it?

LIMBAUGH: A couple of things account for his plummeting popularity. First, Obama’s agenda has been far more extreme than naïve well-wishers assumed it would be. Second, his policies have already had disastrous results, which he can no longer credibly pawn off on his predecessor. And third, he has flagrantly thwarted the will of the people in foisting his policies upon us through abuses of power, legislative trickery, unseemly, unethical deals, and worse. He has acted decidedly un-presidential in slandering and bullying his opponents, has repeatedly played the race card, and has misrepresented his signature legislation for all to see. Even some of the conservatives who decided to hitch their wagon to him admitted at the outset they simply hoped he wouldn’t govern according to his leftist ideology. What gave them this hope is beyond rational comprehension, but surely most of them have now seen the light. In fact, it’s remarkable that Obama has any significant support at all. I daresay that most of his remaining supporters are probably among those not “contributing” income taxes to our general revenues.

LOPEZ: What’s a “Crime against Liberty”? Surely President Obama hasn’t done anything illegal.

LIMBAUGH: I am speaking more figuratively. I am neither accusing President Obama of having committed high crimes and misdemeanors nor advocating his impeachment. Many of us were preoccupied with such pursuits during the Clinton high-crimes era, for which I don’t apologize. But I’d rather focus on the more realistic goal of alerting people to Obama’s egregious personal behavior and policies as we try to turn this nation around in the 2010 and 2012 elections. Having said this, intellectual honesty compels me to confess that some of Obama’s audacious and shocking abuses of power could arguably constitute impeachable offenses were we less apathetic about the Constitution and the rule of law, but I am certainly not advocating going there, if for no other reason than it would likely backfire and enhance Obama’s popularity as a sympathetic victim. One example is his pledging of $140 billion to the IMF not only without executive authority, but in contravention of legislative directives. Another is his four cabinet secretaries’ sending simultaneous letters to Arizona senator Jon Kyl threatening to cut off Arizona’s stimulus funds because Kyl suggested that Obama freeze stimulus spending due to the failure of stimulus money to stimulate anything besides debt. This is incredibly abusive stuff — an administration threatening to withhold federal money to punish an entire state because one of its senators expressed an opinion they deemed critical. This is what I mean by “Crimes against Liberty” — it refers to Obama’s policies and actions that are systematically undermining our liberties, to his bankrupting the nation, and to his undermining our national security. The book abounds with further examples.

LOPEZ: What was his ultimate Crime against Liberty?

LIMBAUGH: At this point — and the list of infractions expands daily — it seems to be a toss-up between the unapologetic bankrupting of the federal government and the imposition of a universal health-care system that represents a systemic cancer on our liberties, not to mention our medical system and our treasury.

LOPEZ: Are there some crimes against truth? Like the idea that he is some kind of post-racial figure?

LIMBAUGH: There are two separate chapters specifically chronicling Obama’s pattern of deceit. Chapter Two details his fundamental misrepresentations to the electorate about who he is and what he stands for — a complete fraud in the inducement — and Chapter Three examines the specific lies he’s told and other deceits he’s engaged in concerning the various aspects of his policy agenda. Even well-informed readers will be shocked at the sheer volume of his lies, for which I can’t think of an acceptable euphemism.

LOPEZ: You wrote a book on Janet Reno’s Justice Department, indicting it for a “legacy” of “corruption.” How does Eric Holder’s compare thus far?

LIMBAUGH: It’s difficult to compare, but Holder’s Justice Department is, like Reno’s, highly politicized. The most striking example is probably the dismissal of the already-won case against New Black Panther party members for voter intimidation purely for reasons of politics and race. Disclosures from former DOJ insiders reveal that this DOJ has adopted the unwritten policy of not prosecuting alleged civil-rights abuses by minorities against whites — an enormously disturbing development for those who believe in equal protection under the law. But there are many equally shocking cases. Did you know there is a “blog squad” inside the DOJ, monitoring the Internet for political opposition and posting comments favorable to the administration — all on the taxpayer’s dime? And please don’t get me started on Obama and Holder’s approach to the War on Terror, including Mirandizing enemy combatants on the battlefield. That is so ridiculous I thought the story came from [the parody site] Scrappleface the first time I read it.

LOPEZ: Why was he “almost willing to jeopardize his sacred Obamacare over his extreme pro-abortion views”?

LIMBAUGH: For a while, it looked like the Obamacare bill would fail due to Obama’s refusal to meet Bart Stupak’s demand that the bill ban federal funding for abortion. But it’s possible that’s an overstatement, because it might well be that Obama knew the whole time that Stupak would cave, or perhaps Obama planned to cave if Stupak didn’t. As it turns out, they both cynically pretended to cave — Obama by issuing an unenforceable executive order prohibiting federal funding for abortion, and Stupak by agreeing to vote for Obamacare in exchange for that meaningless order. But the bottom line is that Obama is an irrepressible ideologue, as to both his extreme pro-abortion views and his dogged determination to force nationalized health care on a resistant American citizenry.

LOPEZ: Will Barack Obama pay a price if he does not deliver more to the Left on these social issues? His position on marriage, for instance, is so incomprehensible that not even David Axelrod has successfully or comfortably spun it.

LIMBAUGH: Obama’s position on marriage is brazenly cynical. First and foremost, he couldn’t be more supportive of the radical homosexual agenda. He doesn’t openly admit that, but everyone knows where he really stands and that he will do everything in his power to promote that agenda through Alinskyite strategies. He simply knows that to acknowledge his real goals would be counterproductive. I doubt he’ll pay a price from the Left for anything he does, if by “price” you mean at the polls. The Left have nowhere to go. They certainly can’t afford to support any opponents of Obama, and they know it. They’re just bellyaching and causing him angst — which is mildly amusing, but ultimately insignificant.

LOPEZ: Why is Gitmo still open?

LIMBAUGH: Because it has to be. Obama vastly underestimated the complexity of closing Gitmo and relocating these dangerous jihadists. It’s a marvelous display of the disconnect between his skills as a campaigner and his incompetence as a leader, not to mention his self-absorption — making such an expansive promise without, apparently, giving the slightest consideration to whether and how he could fulfil it.

LOPEZ: Is his treatment of Israel a Crime against Liberty?

LIMBAUGH: Yes, and shamefully so. It’s still shocking to me that we haven’t seen a bigger backlash from the Jewish community, though former New York City mayor Ed Koch wrote a few stinging pieces calling out Jewish politicians, such as Sen. Chuck Schumer, for remaining silent in the face of Obama’s utter mistreatment of the Jewish state, and Schumer finally responded.

Those who closely watched the campaign should not be surprised by Obama’s hostility toward Israel, given his relations with pro-Palestinian, virulent critics of Israel and his voluntary membership in Reverend Wright’s decidedly anti-Semitic church. Furthermore, his campaign website featured anti-Semitic posts. One of them, titled “How the Jewish Lobby Works,” argued that “no lobby is more feared or catered to by politicians.” It’s not sufficient to say Obama didn’t endorse the posts. How did people of such prejudices have access to his own campaign website?

So as a candidate, he was already bad on Israel; but in office, he’s been even worse than I anticipated. He began by appointing James Jones, hardly a friend of Israel, as his national-security adviser. And from the beginning, his foreign-policy team has worked to impose a “solution” on Israel. He has also been ambiguous about whether he would honor George W. Bush’s promise to Israel that the Jewish state would retain sovereignty over parts of Judea and Samaria that have large Jewish majorities. He has tied our efforts to thwart Iran’s nuclear ambitions — one of our most pressing national-security challenges — first to Israel’s evacuating West Bank settlements, and then to Israel’s acquiescence to a Palestinian state. He presided over the United States’s return to the U.N. Human Rights Council, which the U.S. had left nine months earlier because the council obsessively demeans Israel while overlooking the daily, horrific abuses of Mideast dictatorships.

Obama also cancelled a scheduled meeting with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and announced he would end the Bush tradition of hosting Israeli prime ministers when they were in Washington. His State Department demanded that Israel negotiate with Syria — a primary sponsor of Hezbollah — just two days after Syrian foreign minister Walid Mualler praised an inflammatory speech by Ahmadinejad calling Israel “the most cruel and repressive racist regime.” Obama’s Mideast envoy, George Mitchell, doing Obama’s bidding, adopted the controversial 2002 Arab peace initiative, which called for Israel not only to withdraw from Eastern Jerusalem, the entire West Bank, and the Golan Heights, but also to accept the influx of millions of foreign Arabs as Israeli citizens as part of the so-called “right of return.”

What do the Israelis get in return for these alarming concessions? The Arab world will promise to be peaceful toward it. But that’s entirely moot, because after all those concessions there will be no more Israel; as Caroline Glick notes, the “right of return” would mean “Israel would effectively cease to be a Jewish state.”

And of course, I should mention the bizarre U.S. demand that Israel stop building homes in parts of its own capital of Jerusalem, and Vice President Biden’s harsh, direct “condemnation” of Israel for defying Obama’s dictates on this score. Suffice it to say that this type of heated denunciation of an ally — for a municipal zoning decision, no less, and for acting within its sovereign authority — is highly unusual, if not unprecedented.

LOPEZ: What are “Crimes against Statesmanship”? Do they simply amount to not actually being a statesman?

LIMBAUGH: This is the second half of the title for Chapter Two: “The Narcissist: Crimes against Statesmanship.” Unfortunately, our worst fears about Obama’s narcissism have been validated, as he has demonstrated most of the traits of a clinical narcissist. His enormous opinion of himself, his arrogance, his inability to withstand criticism and his lashing out at his critics, and his delusions of grandeur translate into Obama’s governing on behalf not of the American people or the national interest, but on behalf of Obama himself — and his obsessive quest to fundamentally change the nation. Obama’s personality traits, coupled with his extreme-leftist agenda, make him particularly dangerous to the American ideal and to the preservation of our founding principles, as well as to the liberty and prosperity they guarantee. His narcissism contributes to his imperviousness to counterarguments and empirical evidence of the failure of his prescriptions, his hostility to his critics, and his utter lack of empathy as he drives America over the financial cliff.

LOPEZ: What do you mean by “Obama Mostly Hears Obama”?

LIMBAUGH: Liberals hold themselves out as being open-minded and responsive to the will of the people, such as with Hillary Clinton’s vaunted — but completely phony — listening tour. In fact, Obama couldn’t be less interested in the will of the people, as he showed in the deplorable way he crammed Obamacare down Americans’ throats. On the heels of passing that widely reviled monstrosity, he boasted that he had just achieved a victory for the American people and vowed to continue to work for us, which was as surreal as it was insulting. Following Republican Scott Brown’s victory in the Massachusetts Senate election, which was a direct repudiation of Obama’s agenda, many expected Obama to show some contrition in the State of the Union Speech and promise to modify his bill to accommodate people’s concerns. Instead, he said he wanted the American people to take another look at his plan. Sarah Palin put it best when she said, “Instead of sensibly telling the American people, ‘I’m listening,’ the president is saying, ‘Listen up, people!’”

LOPEZ: Why do you call him the “Commissar”? You know he never wanted to run GM, don’t you?

LIMBAUGH: That title refers to his seizing control over executive salaries, and his cram-down of a restructuring scheme for both GM and Chrysler that ripped off many secured creditors while favoring unsecured creditors who happened to be Obama’s union friends. When he couldn’t get all of Chrysler’s secured creditors to roll over, he publicly slandered them as greedy speculators who had received bailouts but weren’t willing to sacrifice for the public good. His surrogates threatened to ruin the reputation of these creditors, who were merely asserting their legal rights. Michael Barone aptly referred to these sordid events as an example of “gangster government.”

And we can’t overlook Obama’s recklessly wasteful and arbitrary spending of stimulus funds, nor his effort to preclude the repayment of TARP money, because his Keynesian indoctrination compelled him to believe that the money needed to remain in the system to generate growth. With no authority under the Constitution or anywhere else, he attempted to delay those repayments, and then to divert some of the money that was repaid, prompting Judd Gregg to remind the administration that it had no authority for its actions and that “TARP is not a piggy bank.”

LOPEZ: You write that Barack Obama has “demonized anyone to the political right of Ted Kennedy.” Is that entirely true? Hasn’t he, for instance, taken Paul Ryan seriously?

LIMBAUGH: Obamahas pretended to respect Paul Ryan, but did you see his palpably irate expression during the health-care summit as Ryan took him to school on the numbers? With virtually every part of his agenda, Obama has vilified certain groups in order to avoid debate on the substantive issue at hand — health care, financial reform — and make the issue about his particular scapegoat of the day. Whether it’s defaming financial institutions as “fat-cat bankers,” insurers as making “obscene profits,” physicians as greedy and immoral, or President Bush as responsible for every imaginable sin — or lashing out at Rush Limbaugh, Fox News, Jim Cramer, Jim Santelli, the Supreme Court, or British Petroleum — Obama has outdone himself in thuggish, Chicago-style politics. This behavior is wholly unbecoming of a president.

LOPEZ: Which of President Obama’s Crimes against Liberty should Democrats have to answer for in November? If Republican candidates would listen to your advice in this regard, how would you counsel them?

LIMBAUGH: I believe not only that Democrats should have to answer for every one of Obama’s Crimes against Liberty in November, but also that they most emphatically will. They have enabled him in every particular and should be held accountable at the ballot box. Many of us conservatives have warned of what liberals would do with virtually unchecked power, and we have been vindicated. In almost every case, the overwhelming majority of Democrats in government have enabled his recklessly destructive agenda.

Thus my advice to Republicans is to stick to their guns, to adhere to conservative principles unapologetically. They must not lose courage and listen to the faint of heart or move toward the center in a phony and cynical effort to appeal to so-called independents. Independents are already flocking away from Obama in droves. They just need somewhere to go, and that somewhere is not mushy moderation and uncertainty and vacillation. Statecraft isn’t rocket science, and we know that we need much smaller government and an unleashing of the private sector.

At this point, we need a radical rollback of the statist agenda. We must reform entitlements, which were on the path to bankrupt this nation eventually even before Obama came along. Democrats will demagogue any efforts to reform as they always do when Republicans are in office or on the ascendancy, but we must plow forward. I say to moderates that we no longer have the luxury of moderating our prescriptions on domestic policy. Unless we greatly reduce our tax burden while also seriously reducing our discretionary and “mandatory” spending, we won’t be enjoying growth and prosperity. We have no choice but to reverse the present course.

The good news is that the public is waiting to hear this kind of message. The tea-party movement is a grassroots, bottom-up phenomenon, not an astroturf hoax. We need inspired leadership to carry forward the grassroots agenda. If we do not present a principled message of less government across the board — including repealing, not just modifying, Obamacare — we will lose the momentum we have as we dispirit the American people, who are relying on principled conservatives to implement their agenda.

Al Sharpton Dishonors Martin Luther King, Jr.

Al Sharpton is not happy with Glenn Beck. On The O’Reilly Factor yesterday he took umbrage with Beck’s desire to “take back the Civil Rights movement.” Now, as I see it there are several reasons a so-called Black Community leader like Sharpton could find that language offensive.

It could be that be Al believes that the Civil Rights movement – one in which Americans of all races, creeds and backgrounds came together to forge a new national character that elevated previously down-put groups to equal legal and social footing with the majority population as a whole – is the exclusive property of African-Americans. He said so much during his counter-rally when he commented on the date being the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I Have A Dream” speech on the mall. “This is our day!” Sharpton bloviated. “And we ain’t giving it away!”

I guess the idea that those on the mall this Saturday had no right to that day came as a surprise to Dr. Alveda King who is the niece of Dr. King and was a featured speaker at Beck’s rally. It may have even come as surprise to the late MLK himself were he alive. He was, after all, the man who referred in his
speech to “All God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics…” coming together. And isn’t that what made King’s speech so special? That his was a message of inclusion. Not an “us versus them” but a gigantic national ”we.” King understood that the cancer of racism destroys the entire body (America), not just the organ (minorities) it specifically targets. In comparison, Sharpton’s comments seemed so beneath the memory of King. So petty. So small as to make one shake his/her head and ask what happened to this most noble of movements that began when a woman on a bus refused to give up her seat to a white man so many years ago?

And this really gets to the heart of Sharpton’s problem with Beck’s incredibly successful gathering.

When Mr. Beck speaks of “taking back” the Civil Rights movement, he is not using code language for returning to the days of Jim Crow and “separate but equal.” Sharpton knows this of course. And for so-called religious leaders like Al Barnum to imply as such is nothing more than a cynical act rooted in self-preservation. What Beck means by this is that the Civil Rights movement that arose from the mist of exclusion and bigotry came to champion the ideals of racial harmony, equality, and overcoming our divisions (“we shall overcome”). But somewhere along the way to the promised land it was effectively hijacked by a band of self-promoting charlatans, self-righteous statists, and shake-down artists, urged on by their enablers in the left wing literati, for whom agitation and protest has become a lucrative cottage industry.

The movement has also become synonymous with a certain political agenda that stresses affirmative action, cradle-to-grave government hand-outs, and patronizing attitudes towards personal responsibility. In other words, a litmus test somehow came into being whereby one’s commitment to racial equality is measured by one’s level of assent to the Democratic Party’s social platform.

I argue that the policies that so many left-leaning self-proclaimed minority advocates have implemented (which have imprisoned great numbers as permanent wards of the welfare state while financially rewarding socially destructive behavior) have done more damage to the very fabric of minority communities since that great speech on August 28, 1963 than any klansman would have ever dared
hope for. 70% Black babies born out-of-wedlock. Inner-cities racked in poverty, despair, gang-banging and drug violence. Homicide now the leading cause of death among young Black males. Millions imprisoned. And looming over it all, a haze of political correctness that stifles honest and productive
dialogue about the true causes of the plight so many African-Americans still endure despite an ocean of entitlements courtesy of stubborn adherence to defunct leftist dogma and funded by the American taxpayer.

This state of disharmony suits P.T. Sharpton just fine. So long as he has a fight to fight, real or fabricated, so long as so many of his people remain in a state of second-class citizenship (despite the root cause) his career will be secure and his income steady. Indeed, for men like Sharpton, a truly
color-blind society, ie. getting to the real promised land for which Dr. King dared to pine on the very grounds of the Beck rally, would be the worst thing that could possibly happen. It would make him and his professional protest machine irrelevant and thus would he be a has-been on the political
scene as well as drain his coffers. Worst of all, he would be a nobody. Just another city preacher in a tailor-made suit. No wonder the Reverend Al is all tied in knots over of the hundreds of thousands of Americans who rallied in peace under a clear blue sky to reaffirm the dream that King so eloquently
relayed to another just as peaceful group 47 years before. Sunlight is the best disinfectant, and without the ever diminishing shade of the MSM’s loosening hammer-lock on information framing the discussion on race, it is becoming quite apparent that Dr. King’s dream realized, the one that Glenn Beck wishes to
re-claim for all Americans, would put Al Sharpton out of a job.

In any other business but the grievance industry that is called a conflict of interest. I think it’s time for the Reverend Al to recuse himself from this discussion once and for all.

HAD ENOUGH OF HOPE AND CHANGE?

I think we are all getting a little sick and tired of the old blame Bush song and dance as well as suing our own people for enforcing an already established immigration law. The storm is a brewin' nad November is when the kettle gets to boilin'.

The rebellion against Washington Democrats is spreading and building in intensity. The point of the spear, so to speak, is the Tea Party movement. The Gallup Poll has some interesting data on Tea Partiers:

Self-described Tea Party supporters differ from those neutral or opposed to the movement on the issues they perceive as threats to the future of the United States, most notably federal government debt and the size and power of the federal government. They are essentially indistinguishable from those who do not support the Tea Party in their perceptions of unemployment and racial discrimination as future threats to the country.

Basically, Tea Partiers are people who have a more sophisticated understanding of current events than those who describe themselves as anti-Tea Party. Anyone who doesn't realize that the exploding federal debt represents a serious threat to our future either is a fool, or doesn't have children. (That, actually, would make for an interesting survey.)

The responses on terrorism are interesting, too: there is evidently a common thread between obliviousness to the dangers of debts we can't pay and to the dangers of Islamic terrorism, but it is hard to see what that common thread might be, other than blind, stupid loyalty to the Democratic Party.

As the economic news continues to worsen, voters are appropriately growing more surly. That is reflected, I think, in this Rasmussen survey finding that 60% of likely voters--a figure that matches the all-time high--want Obamacare repealed. Maybe that is due to recent news reports about the effects of the government takeover bill, perhaps in part due to a general lack of confidence in the administration's economic competence.

Disillusion with the Obama administration, which can hardly be disentangled from disgust with the Reid/Pelosi regime in Congress, is reaching dangerous levels--dangerous, anyway, if you're a Democratic office-holder. In the Washington Post, Chris Cillizza points out that President Obama's approval rating among whites is almost exactly the same as President Bush's was two years ago. (I had forgotten, actually, that in 2008 Obama lost the white vote by 12 points. This was, however, a significant improvement on John Kerry's performance.) It took President Bush seven and a half years to fall to that level; Obama, just 18 months.

For the Democrats, the ticking time bomb is the Gulf oil spill. We are now on, what, day 73? Something like that. The federal government has yet to figure out an effective response to the spill, and as time goes by, more and more information leaks out about the incompetence of the administration's performance. We have written about that topic repeatedly and will continue to do so, but the fact is that the damage to Democrats will result much more from the brute fact of the spill's persistence and ongoing environmental damage than from revelations about the administration's bungling.

It may not be fair, but the President is viewed largely as a good-luck symbol, and he is held responsible, justly or not, when things go badly. Obama can hardly complain; he is President today mostly because, by sheer chance, the international debt crisis struck in late 2008, the last months of the Bush administration, rather than in early 2009.

Today tar balls began washing up on Texas beaches. They are expected in the Everglades and, up the east coast, in Miami before long. The oil spill will generate headlines and bleed enthusiasm for Democratic rule until November and beyond.

One more thing: the biggest tax increase in American history is scheduled for January 1, 2011, less than two months after the election. The Democrats apparently have decided to defer any discussion of next year's tax rates in Congress until after the election, on the theory that if voters focus on the huge tax increases the Democrats have in store for them, their members will be tarred and feathered rather than just defeated in the midterm elections. I find it hard to believe, however, that the Dems will be able to keep the topic of tax increases off the table until the first Wednesday after the first Monday in November. If you need a reminder as to how, exactly, the Democrats intend to assault your bank account, go here. Read it and weep.

Put it all together, and there is reason to believe that the Democrats will face a tsunami of voter anger in November. Let's hope so; as an email correspondent likes to say, it is November or never.

The Wheels Are Coming Off On This Wagon Train!

James West here and glad to be back in the saddle this week. I have been watching from the sidelines and observing all the crazy things that are happening across this country of ours.

Let me start with the obvious!

Seems that the Congression Budget Office (CBO) has determined that the ol' obamma care bill is going to do the absolute opposite of what our Carperbagger in Chief told us it would do. I will increase government spending, increase taxes and increase the cost of health care. Hmm, I don't have to tell you what American's are saying to themselves now do I? The tea parties and polling numbers are pretty indicative of how we citizens are viewing our government. Zero trust, no respect for their offices and they have the gall to continue lying to us even when confronted with the truth.

Now Obamma is, once again, on the campaign trail trying to cover his ass as the truth is finally coming out. In a desparate attempt to keep his stagecoach from plummeting off into the Rio Grande, he has decided to use race and gender as a tactic to gain support from the very people he has betrayed. The blacks and the Mexicans and women in general are being targeted to help save his hide from November and beyond. The most ironic part is he is licking the boots of the folks that he fleeced to begin with. They elected him and he raised their taxes, broke the country financially, and is now attempting to divert the attention from all of this by creating divisions between his nay sayers. This is a typical tactic by Chicago style politicians as well as textbook procedure by radical group's ideologies.

Now let's add a sprinkle af Arizona justice into this chili bowl!

God bless the governor and law makers of Arizona for stepping up and making some serious decisions regarding immigration while obamma plays golf and spends our money like a high dollar hooker in a San Francisco hat shop! Them folks in Arizona bypassed reform and went straight to kicking illegals asses out of the country.

Now we got ol' dingy hairy in Nevada and obamma himself politicizing this issue so they garner support from the latino population to try and resurrect their dying political careers. Now let me think about that for a moment.......hmmmm.....Ok! It seems to me that the only poeple who are upset about this would be the people who are here illegally. And since they don't have the proper documentation they don't vote. And any Mexican's that are here legally have no issue as long as their paperwork is in order. So no problem there. And maybe I am just a damn fool but wouldn't the legal Mexican population rather have the jobs that the illegal Mexican population is taking from them? Yeah, that makes a little more sense to me.

Funny thing is you don't get to see any interviews with the legal, hard working Mexican-American population that pays their taxes and ends up losing their jobs to illegals and having their children and families hurt by cartel kidnappings and crossfire. I may just be country folk but I am pretty sure most hard working Mexican-Americans have strong family values and ethics and are God-fearing folks looking for a better life. That sure sounds like the America I remember.

So Arizona passes a bill to support an already exisiting law! God forbid we actually enforce this law. You know what happens if I just take off and head down Mexico way bypassing the border patrol and heading south for a better life? That's right, I am put on a truck and shipped back faster than FedEx'ing a kilo of cocaine to Lindsey Lohan's house. You guessed it....Mexico has a zero tolerence immigration policy. We are a sovergn nation and need to act like one for God's sake.

If your legal and you have made every effort to belong to this great country then you deserve to wear the banner of protection under our bill of rights. But if you shirk your duty to become an American then you are what you are: an illegal alien. You are born with your basic human rights and we will make sure these are attended to as we load you on an air conditioned bus, serve you lunch and drop you back over the border to the nearest town with a coke machine and bus terminal. That is a lot more than Mexico would do for me.

Now! Can I have a side dish of Goldman Sachs with that please!

Let's review; Rahm Emanuel, obamma's Chief of Stupid, was an executibe for Goldman for years. Half of obamma's sitting administration are former Goldman Sach's executives. Goldman Sach's gave obamma and most of our sitting government contributions in the millions of dollars to their campaign coffers. The CEO of Goldman Sach's visited the White House so often that the secret service assigned him a call sign: Flotus (Financial Lobbiest Of The United States). And check me if I am wrong but wasn't the main tax cheat Tim geithner an ex-Goldman crony? No. It appears he never held a real job before. And this is the guy dictating policy to the proivate financial sector. Hoo boy! Is the tail waggin' the dog here or what folks!

I'm willing to bet that the connection between Goldman Sach's goes so deep that they actually were the ones who drafted the financial reform bill and handed it to Chris Dodd so he could present it to congress. We all know Chris Dodd only knows how to fuck up an economy not how to reform one. And he is resigning so I am sure this whole reform bill is ironclad since he won't be around to watch it work. That is like a work farm prison guard asking the convict to hold his horse while he takes a quick nap. Unbelievable.

The wheels are falling off this wagon train folks! The greased the wheel with false hope and faith and are heading out of town in a big hurry before anyone gets the wiser. They have robbed the bank, they have stolen our liberties and raped us of our Constitutional rights. They are running for their favorite hide out to count the spoils, laughing all the way because we gave them the key to the city.

But they forgot something. We make mistakes but also correct them too. And correct them for good. We will take a note from the great state of Arizona and send out a posse! A posse filled with rightious and determined men who will ride until these bandits are found and return to us what they have wrongfully taken. Then we will make sure this never happens again by making sure America learns from this mistake.

This Regime Will Not Survive!

Hello to all the people who read Jim West's blog, I hope your both doing well.

Jim has been busy working these days and asked me to fill in for him today. As you know, we have worked for the Government for many years in the service of past Presidents and I have just a few comments about this new regime. Yes, I said regime because that is exactly what they are.

This current administration is filled with liberal idiologues who have shelved the very prinicples that this country was founded on in exchange for their own convaluted and deceptive ideology.

Forget the old west ways of taking care of your self and family. Forget the pioneering spirit that made this country the strong minded and God fearing nation that we are. Forget the long established leadership we have crafted through patriotism, honesty, integrity and the willing to go to the mat for the underdog. (your welcome, France, Italy, Spain and Great Britian).

We now have a regime that has, in less than a year and a half, destroyed what knoble men and women have created over the course of 200 plus years. They have dismantled our image around the globe as strong, independant and worthy allies and replaced it with the current image of an apologetic, weak and insecure nation of fat, lazy cowards. We have been seen greeting dictators with handshakes and hugs while at the same time turning our backs on nations that have stood by our side in both conflict and peace.

We have softened our image by discounting the acts of terrorists and demonizing the efforts of our military. Instead of having a strong understanding of the world that threatens us on a daily basis, we have destroyed our intellegence gathering and traded it for a hollow foreign policy that has no plan to deal with any threat.

This regime is destroying our country and we are just beginning to see the results of their policies. As they continue to dismantle this great nation from the inside out, we are currently at war in several theatres of conflict and our men and women fight on for liberties that will not be available to them upon their return.

I ask you "Is this fair" to ask our soldiers to fight for freedom and liberty when they are being taken away from them at the same time. "Commander In Chief"? I think not. The President, I refuse to mention him by name because I am not even certain it's his real one, is an ivy league lawyer who never tried a case in a courtroom. He is a senator who has never written a piece of legislation. He scolds wall street when he has never risked opening a business or hired a single employee. He has never worked a job that he had to interview for. He has no credentials other than a harvard degree and a job as a community organizer. Both do not require filling our a W2.

He is condescending to our nation's people and openly mocks opposition to his shallow perspectives and hollow ideas. He has yet to demonstrate a single moment of leadership. I challenge you all to to give me one example of him creating a moment of leadership and understanding. Everything he does is for posturing and misdirection. The country has a 78% distrust of our government and he thinks that's just fine because as soon as we all get to hear him speak we will all understand and be mesmerized by his elegance.

Our government just can't understand why the American people just don't buy their message. They are at a loss as to why American's don't want a bigger government. They can't believe that poeple would rather be in control of their own lives when the government wants to take all you have and give you everything you need.

We are in dangerous times my friends and Jim West gets a little distressed when we discuss this on the train. I have noticed that he feels helpless and that we are on a path of deconstructing our great nation and there is no stopping it. That is why I decided to join in here to day and offer some hope.

My fellow American's we will survive. Rest assured the wheels on this nightmarish ride will cease to roll and we can once again raise the flag with honor and pride. We will recover from our financial situation and, once again, be a world leader in industry and invention. American's will vote out ALL of the politicians that have failed to listen to the people of this country. We thrown off the blanket that the opposition has tried to cover us with and muffle our discontent. We have awoken from a slumber and are working to repair the damage we have done by allowing this cancer to grow within our country.

The media run propaganda machine that continues to manufacture and distribute the message of this regime is failing. Poeple are not listening to the misdirection anymore. Poeple are accepting the mistake we made and are taking responsibility in repairing the damage. Those elected representatives who so blindly dismissed the rallying cries of a nation will find themselves relegated to a new position: common citizen. They will have to walk among us and I am quite sure the American people will make sure they can hear them then.

We will lay waste to the electorate who disregards the will of the poeple they represent and, like a forest fire, we will plant new seeds of growth and prosperity based on the fundamental understanding of the US Constitution. There is hope my friends and it is not going to come easy. This nation is still the best model for freedom in the world and that dream will not die as a result of a regime that wants to bring it to it's knees for their own misguided ideology.

Obama Needs A Lesson In Economics!

I hope Spring is coming for all of you good folks. Time to think about plantin' crops and fixin barns. It's been a long, cold winter and I am sure all of you are looking forward to warmer weather.

Recently, I have been watching the goings on out there in the District of Columbia and, frankly, I just can't figure out what them politicians is a doing! For example, don't they hear the whole country tellin' them all to put away this ridiculous health care bill and start from scratch. Hell, the whole country would jump on board for reform if the damn thing had any common sense in it. The liberals just want to get this passed so they can show the country that they don't need no clear thinking to screw up our country. They would rather go-it-alone than compromise and put good honest legislation in place.

These are some scary times friends. I have some thoughts on abortion and I can tell you this, a women's right to choose what she wants to do with her health and life are none of my damn business. Conversely, any woman thinks she is going to take away my right to get a damn visectomy or any other elective decision regarding my health, well then we got us a big problem. However; I do have a problem if the government is going to force me to pay for an abortion. That's just something that don't make a lick of sense. If we believe in a woman's rights then let the woman pay for her decisions by herself. I noticed that health care don't pay for no cosmetic surgey because it's elective. Now in an emergency situation, them insurance companies should step up to the plate and cover this procedure if it means the health of the woman. But it ain't my problem so why the hell should hard working folks pay for someone else's elective procedures. Just ain't right.

Now this Obama character has me as confused and blind dog in a pig pen! How in the hell does he figure that the insurance companies ration health car based on who pays and who can't! This is just plain illogical. There is a bright fella over there at that Fox news Channel named John Stossel. Now he used to be one of them big city newspaper fellas but he came to his senses and now writes down some common sense thinkin" now and again. listen to this thoughts on this idea........

So many Americans hate business and remain clueless about markets that politicians thrive by pandering to their ignorance. The president is no exception in his eagerness to replace insurance with some kind of expanded welfare state. In a speech on health care last week, he vilifies insurance companies, claiming that they "freely ration health care based on ... who can pay and who can't."

Gosh, sounds so cruel and heartless.

I love GMU economics professor Don Boudreaux's reaction to the President's clever language:

... Many folks - especially young adults - have the ability to pay but choose not to do so. They get no coverage.

But further pondering of your point leads me to look beyond such nit-picking to see fascinating possibilities. Not only insurers, but all producers who greedily refuse to supply persons who don't pay should be set aright. Now I'm sure that YOU don't ration the supply of the books you write according to any criteria as sordid as requiring people actually to pay for them. But our society is full of people less enlightened than you.

For example, the typical worker rations his labor services
according to who pays and who doesn't. That must stop. Oh, and supermarkets! Every single one rations groceries according to who pays. Likewise with restaurants, clothing stores, home-builders, furniture makers, even lawyers! You name it, rationing is done according to who pays. Indeed, my own county government has been corrupted by this greedy attitude: if I don't pay my taxes, the sheriff takes my house ... Preposterous!

I look forward to your changing this selfish and unfair system of rationing that for too long now has kept Americans impoverished.

Now ain't that a clever bit of thinkin'. John ladels on the sarcasm pretty good but you get the idea. Whatever school of economics Obama went to he must have fell asleep because his comments are just this side of ignorant. And that's coming from an old trail boss like me.

Hell, I guess I ration my ranch work as well. I only pay the men who brand my cows, fix my fences and break my horse string. Anyone who don't want to work out there on the ranch doesn't get paid. I guess rationing actually makes a little sense if that's what were callin' it these days. I don't have one single horse in my remuda that wasn't broke by a paid cowboy. Yep, I'm as bad as them insurance fellas. Won't be long before Obama and his revenuers come out here and make me pay my hands a full days wage weather they work or go fishing.

Just ain't no common sense going on here. Now I got plenty more to say and don't even get me started on that Harry Reid carpet bagger. But I got to go and do a hard days work. Something them suits in Washington don't know nothin bout!

Just finished reading some of the great thoughts on my compadre "Ol Timer Says" blog and man can that ol boy get is said. I recommend y'all visit him over there and get a good piece of savvy truth.

I jus' can't help watching this administration and their inept handling of everthing they touch. I mean they should hand out those little calendars that give you something to think about each day. Hell we could call it "Obama's 365 days of Fuck Ups!" Each day you can see which czar, associate, loyal lobbyist, inside spin doctor, misappointed department head, hanger onner, and liberal dumbass makes the next flub or mistake. Folks, this is now a daily occurance. Hell I remember when it was just weekly but these idiots are making it real easy for us to find them all laughable.

Whether it's Obamma blowing it in Vegas, Rahm calling his own people retards, Reid making his continuing idiotic statements about light colored negros or Nancy flying her grandkids to and from pre-school, you can bet that each day will be filled with complete stupidity.

As for the people that surround the Idiot In Chief, doesn't anyone have the courage to inform him that Americans are not buying his snake oil anymore. They continue to insulate this guy so he is about as clueless as they come. They battle Fox News but they are the only news source that actually reports news. The liberal media world is folding like a balsa wood beach chair ina CAT 5 hurricane and they still just plod on without even realizing it. Air America - Gone, CBS - Layoffs and Katie "highschool newspaper reporter" Curic is on the bubble, MSNBC - Olberman's ratings are lower than re-runs of Who's the Boss, and yet they plod on in a clueless maisma of ignorance. ABC had to put a real journalist to work with Diane Sawyer and it is just killing the upper management that they had to sell out for real reporting.

And the biggest tool in the box is Gibbs. How the hell do you qualify for a job like his? I guess you go down the list and pick the stupidest looking candidate who can go out there daily and continue to repeat his master's diatribe even when Obamma directly contradicts Gibbs' statements. I have seen better use of a dummy by a ventriliquist to be sure. The amazing part is Gibbs believes everything that comes out of his mouth with such fervor that I actually want to give him a glass of rev. Jim Jones Kool-Aid and watch him drink it.

We keep seeing these liberals for what they are; unconsciously blind. I see a few actually waking up from their dreamland and saying "Whoa now! We signed on for this cruise but this boat's a leakin' boys!" The clueless liberals, you know...the ones that were sleeping when the most liberal seat in the Senate was lost after 45 years, well they should be getting ready for a full-blown Missouri boat ride in November.

The State Of The Union was over the top. The narcissism and arrogance projected from Obamma was just short of full blown offensive. He spoke down to the lawmakers of the Supreme Court like he was a principal berrating a group of school children. The last time I checked he had only a year or two under his belt there in DC and he is scolding them? What a classless jackass. Let's review, the last time he was up there somebody called him a liar and it turned out to be more than true. Then he gets up there after a failed 1st year and lies to everyone in the country. Hello? Does anybody in his administration have the guts to tell this guy he is not liked anymore. Forget being worshipped like he is used to, poeple just plain don't like to be lied to. And he just goes right on doing it.

When is America (and I am talking ALL Americans) going to put a stop to this bullshitting. In my younger days me and my partner Artemus would track him down and put him in Leavenworth just for safe keeping until sombody found a cure for "The Lying Disease!"

I'm retired now but I can still dispense justice when needed and now-a-days we need it more than ever. When me and Gordon captured Dr. Loveless we spent a lot of time interrogating him about his ruthless plots until we knew the whole evil plan. In this day and age he would have a high falutin' lawyer keeping him safe and warm while his evil plans just rolled on.

The biggest threat to our nation right now is not terrorism, it's liberalism and Obamma. Our rights to bear arms are under question and our ability to self-govern our lives are being stolen right out from under our feel. There has to be a revolution soon because there is no way this country is going to fall without a fight. We had one revolution to free ourselves from tyrrany of a oppressive government and another one is in the works. It has happened in Virginia and Massacheussets and it will continue in all corners of this great country because these liberals are so fearless in their intentions that they fail to realize it's the poeple that make up this government and they can be removed just as easily as they were placed. There will be a lot of different faces in Washington by the time Obamma gets his walking papers. By the way, this one-term bozo will not go down as an even mediocre president but as the worst in history. Quite the legacy.

Well I have said my peace to y'all and need to get out and get some shootin' in. Going to practice, practice, practice because when the time comes were gonna need some straight shooters with some common sense.

As I read and listen to all the advice President Obama is getting from frightened Democrats I have to laugh out loud. One bunch of elitists telling another elitist how to fool the American people.

Some say he should change his messaging or move to the center like Bill Clinton or stay the course like Ronald Reagan. But for all his rhetorical gifts, as far as political instincts, Obama is no Bill Clinton and certainly no Ronald Reagan.

The American people can spot a phony a mile away and Obama’s new found “populist rage” is a wagonload of cattle crap.

Many Americans are sick and tired of being told by their “betters” in Washington what is best for them. The Establishment Elitists believe that the people are too dumb to know what is good for them and that down the road when they become “enlightened” they will thank them for all they have done.

They mocked the Tea Party folks as “un-American” or worse. I don’t hear any mocking or condescension now. They even got Chris Mathews to shut up!

Do the Democrats really believe that after all their verbal insults and assaults of last year that the American people will actually believe anything they have to say? Sorry Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid but they will live on in campaign ads this fall. Try and run away from comments that are forever enshrined on YouTube.

And here is a bit of advice to the President. There are more pick-up trucks in America than Priuses.

The Elitist Populist
The Elitist Populist ( Liberalus Arrogantus) is a member of the Elitist species of which there are three classes. The first two are the Elitist Republican ( Conservatus Rightus) and the Elitist Democrat (Liberalus Leftus). The Elitist Populist is a close cousin to the latter. While they all have different markings and temperament, all three coexist nicely and fiercely protect one another against America’s great unwashed.

The Elitist Populist spends most of its time preening in front of the rest of the population displaying its plumage of Ivy League degrees, Rhodes scholarships, trust funds, vacation homes and wealthy spouses and telling the rest of us how we should live our lives. The “Populist” part of their name comes from their pronouncements about caring about working people and diversity, as long as you don’t want to move next door to them. That’s about as close as they come to working folks and honest labor because most of them wouldn’t know the business end of a shovel if it hit them in the head.

Like the other Elitists, the Elitist Populist habitat was originally limited to the Northeast particularly New England and New York and the species evolved from the early Puritans and WASPs. Its breeding grounds are the numerous prep schools scattered throughout that region. As the Elitist Populist matures to adulthood it migrates to the elite universities such as Harvard, Columbia, Yale and the other Ivy League schools where many times family connections replaces intelligence as a means of entry.

Over time the Elitist Populist has bred with other groups that they previously had shunned and kept out of their flock through quotas, namely descendants of ethnic immigrants and other “undesirables”. This was necessitated by their declining birthrate and desire to expand their dominance to new regions.

As that occurred, its habitat spread across the nation and it can now be found in places like Hollywood, Washington D.C., San Francisco, and numerous college campuses across the nation.

Some great places to observe the Elitist Populist are Martha’s Vineyard, Georgetown, Beverly Hills, Palm Beach and Berkeley. You can often find them foraging for food at fancy French restaurants, Whole Foods, and Godiva Chocolates.

Some of the places you will never find them are Lubbock, Texas, Elko, Nevada, Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania and the rest of fly-over country where real working folks actually live. You will never see them at Wal Mart, Food 4 Less or McDonald’s. And they only pick up a gun or attend NASCAR races during election years.

In 2008, they finally elected one of their own as leader of the American flock and they are now setting about remaking the nation in their own image all the while making sure they don’t lose their exalted position in the pecking order and they can maintain their privileges and money.

Now how was that for some introspective analysis by a humble working cowboy. God bless this country for making sure common sense like this is still available. In my last posting I stated that Sarah Palin and Scott Brown were populists. I did not mean Elitist Populists but rather the home grown, grass roots kind that keep any eye out for folks like us.

ELYRIA, Ohio - A combative President Barack Obama exhorted Congress Friday to pass a new job-creation bill, taking a populist appeal to America's recession-racked Rust Belt in an effort to recapture the excitement of his campaign.

Obama weaved us-against-them rhetoric into his appearances, telling a town hall audience that he "will never stop fighting" for an economy that works the hard-working, not just those already well off.

He said a jobs bill emerging in Congress must include tax breaks for small business hiring and for people trying to make their homes more energy efficient — two proposals he wasn't able to get into a bill the House passed last month. And he used the word "fight" or some variation of it over a dozen times. The House-passed $174 billion stimulus package faces a stern test in the Senate, in part because it is financed with deficit spending.

Folks, this guys is bull shitting at a professional level. He blew off any consideration of Reaganesque tax cuts for small buisnesses that were not even included in his original bill. Why? Because he is about socialism and not about capitalism. Everything he has done in the past year is completely opposite of the statements he made in this article. This fucking guy would lie to St. Peter to get into Heaven. It just boggles the mind that he still thinks that the people are going to buy his load of carpet bagging bullshit anymore. But he continues to still spew out this complete assinine horse hockey.

He is now going for the populist version of Obamma. This is going to be fun to watch! Now, Sarah Palin and Scott Brown are populists. How in the hell is a Harvard lawyer, Chicago backroom politician douche bag', with no connection with the working people of this great nation going to become popular? Yes Obama! It tastes like a shit Taco!

This is a big day for America folks! Our fellow patriots in Mass. saved us from the inevitable disaster that was coming down the river. Everyone should become Red Sox fans and show them our appreciation.

I was jumping higher than a junbug in July last night when I watched the liberal media choke on their own words. Not an hour before they were predicting victory and then the house of cons came tumbling down. This was like winning the superbowl as a wild card. I am looking with great relish to November when we can start to take back out country and get rid of these no good, carpet bagging, liberty thieves.

Even CNN's Ed Rollings had to each the shit taco and write this little beauty in todays Op/Ed:

The voters in Massachusetts sent a message loud and clear. Maybe even a "shot heard around the world." At least the political world. Tuesday night's victory for Scott Brown for the vacant seat held by the late Sen. Ted Kennedy for 46 years was a massive win for disenchanted voters everywhere.

His message that this wasn't the "Kennedy seat; it's the people's seat" reverberated coast to coast. This was the biggest upset of the political establishment since George Nethercutt defeated House Speaker Tom Foley in 1994. The message was similar. The winning slogan for Nethercutt was this "district doesn't need a speaker; it needs a listener."

Brown arguing that his becoming the 41st vote would make every senator the 41st vote had real meaning. It means that every senator needs to represent their voters and not be beholden to either party. And every vote counts.

The voters were saying in the bluest of the blue states, to both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue, "We aren't happy. Washington, D.C., is not working and it's your fault. It's not Bush's fault, it's not Newt Gingrich's fault. It's your job and if you can't do it, we'll find somebody who can."

It is a chilling message to professional politicians. "Wanted! New senators; no experience necessary; just an ability to listen to voters."

To Democrats this defeat may be viewed as the second Boston massacre. For Republicans it maybe the second Boston Tea party. The warning shot is that business as usual is unacceptable, and if you continue down that path, do so at your own risk. And remember, we the voters hire you and we can fire you, too.

Wednesday marks the one year anniversary of President Obama's inauguration. I am sure he never thought that this anniversary would follow Tuesday's inaugural of the new Republican governor of New Jersey or the loss of the Senate seat of his good friend and mentor, Kennedy .

My only advice on your anniversary is: Mr. President, don't run away from or misinterpret Tuesday's results. Don't let the Chicago sycophants surrounding you in the White House tell you this defeat had nothing to do with you or your health care legislation or your style of governing. It did big time, and every poll said it did.

You have three more years before the next inaugural. It may be yours or it maybe someone else's. But don't let your team convince you that this loss was only about Martha Coakley being a lousy candidate. (She was.) But she was good enough to win the state attorney general's job three years ago with 73 percent of the vote. She was good enough to trounce three other candidates, including a sitting congressman to win the primary a few weeks ago.

No, Brown's victory was about a lot more, and Mr. President, even though you weren't on the ballot, you were a big part of it. Remember this was a a state you won by a 26-percentage point margin, a state where Democrats outnumber Republicans 3-to-1. But the critical voting data is that 51 percent of the voters are unaffiliated.

This is a state that hasn't elected a Republican senator since the Nixon landslide election of 1972. (Massachusetts was the only state Nixon lost.) Sen. Ed Brooke, a liberal, African-American, was re-elected in that year, only to lose six years later. Brooke was the first member of his race since Reconstruction to be elected to the Senate and the only Republican. Since 1920, Massachusetts has only voted Republican for president in the Eisenhower and Reagan landslide victories.

Republicans are obviously joyful but need to learn the lessons of the gubernatorial victories in Virginia and New Jersey as well as this victory. Listen to the voters. Talk to them. Try to find solutions for their problems.

Democrats don't need me to give them advice. But killing each other in back-stabbing contests won't help. The blame game started before the first vote was counted. But maybe they will be humbled by losing the seat they thought they owned.

I am sure a Kennedy or a follower will try to win it back in 2012. But in the meantime, the senators and House members running in 2010 better start listening to their bosses -- and I don't mean House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. And Obama's likable personality isn't going to help if the country doesn't like his policies.

Obamma Is A Liar- And a Big one!

Been pretty busy lately and have not been able to get in here to vent my absolute frustration with this bullshit sham government we have going here. I will be back later for more but let me just lay out for you the biggest lies Obamma has made about this so called health care for ya'all:

Individual Mandate: There were not a lot of actual policy fights in the 2008 Democratic Presidential primary, but one of the few major policy disagreements between then-Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) and then-Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) was over the individual mandate. Clinton was for it and Obama was against it. On January 31, 2008, Obama made the case against mandates in a Los Angeles, CA, debate: “Now, under any mandate, you are going to have problems with people who don’t end up having health coverage. I think we can anticipate that there would also be people potentially who are not covered and are actually hurt if they have a mandate imposed on them.” Both the House and Senate bills now contain an individual mandate. According to the President’s own Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, under the Senate plan, 19 million Americans would pay $29 billion in taxes/fines and still receive no health care in return.

You Will Not Lose Your Doctor: On June 15, 2009, President Obama promised the American people: “No matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people. If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what.” Again, the President’s own Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services confirms that the current Senate health bill breaks this promise. Seventeen million Americans will be forced out of their existing health insurance. Worse, the CMS explains that continued Medicare cuts will encourage more doctors to stop seeing Medicare patients entirely, and the 18 million people added to Medicaid will also make it next to impossible for those already on Medicaid to find a doctor who will treat them.

No Tax Hikes for People Making Less than $250,000: On February 24, 2009, President Barack Obama promised the American people: “if your family earns less than $250,000 a year, you will not see your taxes increased a single dime. I repeat: not one single dime.” Speaker Pelosi believes the Senate bill’s excise tax on insurance plans breaks this promise, and she is right. But it is not the only way that Obamacare shatters the President’s no-middle-class-tax-hike pledge. There are a slew of new taxes in the Senate bill, many of which will hit the middle class, including taxes on medical devices, tanning beds, insurance user fees, and brand name drugs (not to mention the individual mandate which is enforced by a tax or the employer mandate which kills jobs and punishes the poor).

Your Health Premiums Will Be $2,500 Lower: On October 15, 2008, then-Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) promised the American people: “The only thing we’re going to try to do is lower costs so that those cost savings are passed onto you. And we estimate we can cut the average family’s premium by about $2,500 per year.” According to the Congressional Budget Office, Americans in large-group employer-sponsored plans would, on average, see their premiums remain flat, while individuals who purchase insurance in the non-group market would see much higher premiums in 2016 under Obamacare than they would under current law. And many believe those estimates are optimistic. According to the Lewin Group, once fully implemented, health care spending per worker will increase for all employers who do not currently offer coverage — $316 per worker under the Senate bill and $800 increase per worker under the House bill.

Health Reform Reduces the Deficit: On September 10, 2009, President Barack Obama promised the American people: “I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits – either now or in the future. Period.” Even the President’s most ardent supporters are now admitting the Senate bill is full of budget gimmicks to make it appear Obamacare will reduce the deficit. When the true cost of Obamacare is considered, the final tab comes to $2.5 trillion with an honest accounting of Medicare reimbursement rates netting a $765 billion deficit all by itself.

Tax Payer Funded Abortion: On September 10, 2009, President Barack Obama promised the American people: “No federal dollars will be used to fund abortions.” While the House bill’s Stupak amendment language fulfills this promise, the Senate’s Nelson compromise does not. If the Senate language were to become law, it would overturn the precedent set by the Hyde Amendment, the FEHBP (Federal Employees Health Benefits Plan), Military insurance through TRICARE, and the Indian Health Service. Your taxdollars most definitely would be paying for elective abortions.

No one expects a President to fulfill 100% of his promises. But when the failures to live up to your past pledges pile so high, it shouldn’t be any surprise that the American people have turned so strongly against President Obama’s health care plan.

When Obamma was called a liar in front of the whole country, who knew that that was going to be the only honest thing said during his adress.

I gotta go feed the hogs so I can get them nice and fat. Apparently pork is big in Washington and I want to get the best price at market. Especially when it comes to the "Bill To Nowhere!"

Just rode back in from town and I'm sitting back with my old dog and drinking a little cowboy coffee. It's pretty cold outside and Winter has finally arrived here on the ranch. The horses are in the barn and there ain't much to do around the homestead until Spring. I guess that gives me a little more time to write down a few more thoughts I have been having about this President and his people.

It may be just me but everytime Obamma starts talking he begins with "Let me be perfectly clear!" Then he spends the next half hour spewing his diatribe that is about as clear as the Rio Grande after a flooding rain. When he says this stupid phrase all the hair on the back of my neck stands up and I realize I am about to be lied to.

Now I have played my fair share of poker and this little phrase is Obamma's "Tell" sign. If you want to know when the bullshit is coming just wait for him to say "Let me be perfectly clear!" This phrase is proceeded with 100% road apples my friends. I wish he was sitting across from me down at the Bucket Of Blood Saloon and the pot was huge. I would just wait for his "tell" and double the pot. Worst part about a bad bluffing liar is they eventually run out of money.

Hell, it's starting to make sense now. The only bigger bags of wind would be Hairy Rude and Nazi Pelosi. Hairy compared the opponents to this health care bill as people who would have supported slavery back in the 1880's. Maybe my learnin' ain't as high and mighty as most folks but didn't the Republican Party invoke the doctrine of the Emancipation Proclamation which preceeded the Civil War, which in turn ended slavery in this country? I know I ain't no carpetbagger from Searchlight but it appears to me Hairy Rude ought to think a little more before he speaks. And this guy represents Nevada in Washington? For the love of God!

I ran across a little story the other day that outlines exactly what is happening here in our country. Our government officials, which we elected based on their lies and unkept promises, are using smoke and mirrors to create a hollow economy. This Texas story explains a little better:

SLOW DAY IN SMALL TEXAS TOWN

It's a slow day in a little East Texas town. The sun is beating down,

and the streets are deserted. Times are tough, everybody is in debt, and

everybody lives on credit.....

On this particular day a rich tourist from back east is driving through

town. He stops at the motel and lays a $100 bill on the desk saying he

wants to inspect the rooms upstairs in order to pick one to spend the

night.

As soon as the man walks upstairs, the owner grabs the bill and runs

next door to pay his debt to the butcher.

The butcher takes the $100 and runs down the street to retire his debt

to the pig farmer.

The pig farmer takes the $100 and heads off to pay his bill at the

supplier of feed and fuel.

The guy at the Farmer's Co-op takes the $100 and runs to pay his debt to

the local prostitute, who has also been facing hard times and has had to

offer her "services" on credit.

The hooker rushes to the hotel and pays off her room bill with the hotel

owner.

The hotel proprietor then places the $100 back on the counter so the

rich traveler will not suspect anything.

At that moment the traveler comes down the stairs, picks up the $100

bill, states that the rooms are not satisfactory, pockets the money, and

leaves town.

No one produced anything. No one earned anything.

However, the whole town is now out of debt and now looks to the future

with a lot more optimism even though we borrowed the money to do it with no income to

pay it back.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the United States Government is

conducting business today.

We should all be scared out of our minds with these elected officials. When it comes time to vote in the Fall next year I hope everyone remembers what these bastards are doing to all of us and get these idiots out of there! We can put in some honest folks who will try a little harder at doing a job that they were elected to do.

When I was in town I pretty much had a chat with everyone I could and they agreed that a public option health bill would be devestating to an already weathered economy. Most folks said they had written letters or expressed their concerns to their senators and congressmen, but this has fallen on deaf ears. The very people we gave jobs to are the ones creating the environment that is costing us ours.

That's like me hiring a cowhand and he picks a horse out of my string and saddles him up with my tack and goes out working the cattle on my neighbor's ranch. I can tell you right now that just ain't right.

These poeple have lost their honor and dignity and have replaced their morals and values with those of greed and power. They have forgotten the poeple who gave them these jobs and are now working feverishly to steal what's left of your rights so we will be unable to fight back. It's not too late my friends because come election time we can fire these people and elect some folks that are not corrupted by the beltway of Washington, but rather, shining with the pride of represnting their constituents with honor and integrity.

We don't need any more senators sleeping with mistresses and putting their names on buildings and airports and stealing funds from pork projects so they can build their personal wealth. We need honest men and women. There's plenty of em' as I see and meet them everyday. A law degree does not make you moral and neither does being an elitist businessman make you smart. Good God fearing people with solid common sense and good set a morals and values is what we need. Let's find these folks and convinve them to run for office so we can stop our country from it's potential ruin.

When President Barack Obama promised in February that the $787 billion stimulus bill would unleash "a new wave of innovation, activity and construction," he probably didn't have tidying up gravestones in mind. But that is what some of the money has paid for, along with frozen fish sperm, Taser guns and an ongoing political headache that Obama easily could have avoided.

As reporters start to pore over the details of the stimulus spending reports the White House released a little more than a week ago, they're turning up lots of gems like this. In addition to the above, reporters at ProPublica found stimulus money spent on tickets for a musical version of "Little House on the Prairie," a cotton candy machine and breakfast at Fuddruckers.

Then there's the dispute over how many jobs have actually been "created or saved," as the administration likes to put it. Obama says 640,329 so far. But all last week, reporters were turning up some serious cases of job inflation. Examples:

- The Associated Press found that a pay raise for 508 employees was counted as 935 jobs saved.
- The New York Times discovered that $1,047 for a rider mower for a cemetery in Arkansas was credited with saving or creating 50 jobs.
- In Milwaukee, reporters at the Journal Sentinel uncovered examples of double counting, jobs for projects that hadn't received any stimulus money, and other problems.
- The Chicago Tribune found that $4.7 million sent to schools in North Chicago was credited with saving 473 jobs in a district that employs only 290 teachers.
- USA Today reported that a $26,174 grant to fix a fence and repair roofs in Texas was reported to have created 450 jobs. Actual number of jobs involved: six.

Even assuming the total jobs number is right, the administration is also defending itself against claims that the cost per job -- based on $159 billion spent so far -- comes out to more than $240,000. And of course, it doesn't help Obama that all these created or saved stimulus jobs have come at a time when the ranks of the unemployed swelled nearly 600,000 in October and almost 1 million since June.

Obama can complain that stimulus critics are picking nits, committing calculator abuse, or focusing on small data problems. But he has only himself to blame. That's what you get for trying to be open, honest and precise with the public. Consider:

Rather than funnel the stimulus money through government agencies, he could have simply handed out roughly $6,500 in cash to every household in the country. Sure, it might not have stimulated the economy much or created many jobs, but at least nobody would be tracking the stupid things households did with the loot.

He also could have avoided being so hyper-focused on putting out specific job number predictions -- right down to the congressional district level -- and instead stuck to a simple, vague claim that when the government borrows and spends hundreds of billions of dollars, it's bound to create or save some jobs.

And, of course, Obama could have not bothered to make his transparency pledge at all. It's only because he insisted on having all these stimulus spending reports filed and posted online that reporters and critics are having such a field day with the data.

Trouble is, perception is everything in public policy, and no matter what the actual effects of the stimulus spending, this steady diet of news reports about weird spending projects and phantom jobs will only cause the public to see the stimulus as a gigantic boondoggle. Already, only a third think it's helping the economy, according to a recent Rasmussen poll.

There's not much anyone can do about that now. But if there's ever another stimulus bill, the president would be wise to remember that, sometimes, ignorance is bliss.

There ya go! Our money hard at work. This president has the nerve to say he is creating and saving jobs while the unemployment numbers go through the roof. His advisors need to give him that information on a post it note stuck to his telepromptor so he doesn't look so damn stupid.

This administration just keeps handing us these stories and I am loving it. Well back to the ranch to get ready for winter.

Got To Get This Off My Chest!

Howdy pards,

I usually reserve my posts for political thoughts but I have somethin' that has been a burr under my saddle for a while now. Recently I got hitched to a pretty little filly and I am so darn happy I could sqaure dance til my boots wear through. But, like many folks out there, I have a family member that is just this side of a snake. I am talking about one mean spirited, self centered, blame throwing piece of crap of a sister. Before you get all defensive let me explain a little bit about this here statement!

She took it upon herself to remove her entire family from attending our wedding because her daughter had a powder puff footbal practice. Yes, I said practice. Now I aint' no parent but I can clearly see the tail waggin' the dog here folks. When you let a tweener make family decisions like that your headin' for trouble. The hard part is her husband, who normally is a pretty clear headed individual, lacked the stones to make the right call. And thanks to one of the most selfish acts I have ever witnessed, everyone gets to pay for their stupidity. The arrogance and selfishness displayed by these two is almost beyond words.

As a result, they are not in any family pictures and she has gone to blaming me for every stupid decision she has ever made in her life. And boy is she blaming me for a lot. You see, she ain't that bright and has about as much common sense as a tree. Now I can take this kind of crap and have been for over forty years, but my sweet and loving new wife doesn't deserve this by any means. I think the big problem is my sister is so fucking unhappy with herself she just can't bring it upon herself to allow anyone to be happy. She blames everyone for her own bad behavior and personal issues and has the inability to appologize for her stupid actions when they are clearly wrong.

Well she got what she wanted as she uses her husband and kids as leverage to divide family and to push her own egotistical agenda without care to anyone but herself. I truly hope she finds a therapist that she will listen to. I got this feeling she goes through therapists like underwear because she hates to hear the truth about herself. I guess it's easier to burn family relationships than deal with her own psychological issues.

She suffers from low self esteem and is just fucking mean spirited. That combination is just nasty. My new wife just wants to be welcomed into her new family without all the horrible drama coming from my sister's personal life issues. But you see, that would require her to look beyond her own selfish and narcissistic behavior. She recently asked me to tell her about the parts of my childhood that I hated and that were bothering me. I told her that my childhood was fantastic and I have only fond memeories of how I was raised and disciplined. She could not beleive me and actually told me I was lying and needed to face my issues. Can you believe that? She asked a question, didn't get the answer she wanted and told me to deal with my hidden issues. I think medication is required along with the therapy.

But after reflection I did remember something that bothered me growing up. As I rub the four inch scar on my fore head from when my sister through me through a television for changing the channel, I remembered being bullied , beaten and emotionally hammered on a daily basis by my mean and overbearing sister. So there you go sis! I guess I just needed to think a little hard to find an issue from my past. But I left that behind me a long time ago and have had a damn good life so far. Even the bad things that happen I try to learn from and move on. I had hoped to share my new wife with her and her family on our special day witht he rest of my loving family and friends, but she decided it would be much easier to try and ruin something that was going to be joyful for us. The ironic part is without her overwhelming drama that surrounds this idiot like rings around Saturn, we had a fabulous time with friends and loved ones.

Now I have to go and get some trail riding in and spend some time with family and friends that care about my new wife and our lives together. I'm not going to waste my time and effort in trying to be friends with someone so hurtful and just down right mean. She can spread that around somewhere else for the next forty years.

Sorry to break from my normal program but this is MY blog and I just said what needed sayin".

A Clear Perspective From an Old Timer!

Howdy there folks,

Once in a while I get sent an e-mail (yep, that's right an e-mail) from one of the finer cowpokes this side of Missouri. This old timer spends a lot of his saddle time thinking about things and when he sits down by the fire at night, he puts them thoughts to paper. Well he tends to have a pretty savvy understanding of things and a gentle way with words simple enough for all of us to understand. Ya see, sometimes you just have to start thinking about things instead of just reactin' to all the happy horseshit that is coming our way via the media. Enjoy this clear thinking because it pertains to all of us Americans. And that's the truth you can bank on in Denver.

Howdy Pard…

Just wanted to let you know.

Thought you should hear it direct from the horse’s mouth, so to speak (although there are some who insist it’s comin’ from the other end of the horse).

I’m a racist.

Now unlike most folks today, what get all uppity and politically correct and knot their knickers when someone calls them that, I’m actually pretty damned proud of it.

Now, I wasn’t always a racist. Seems I became one about the time Obama started running for office.

I was a lot of things ‘fore racist.

Once, I was just an American that watched and evaluated what was happening in his country, and when I disagreed with it, said so.

Back then, some called people like me the “loyal opposition”.

When Jimmy Carter, a white peanut rancher from Georgia, gave away the Panama Canal, I thought it was stupid, and said so. He was a Dem and a Lib, and I’m not. So, I was “the opposing party”.

When Bill Clinton tried to convince us all that something that even kids know is sex wasn’t, I said he was stupid. Since I said so, I was now part of the “vast right wing conspiracy”.

When George bush the elder said “Read my lips” and then raised taxes anyway, I said he was stupid, and became a “disaffected Republican”.

But tellingly, I weren’t called racist for saying these white men were stupid.
Neither were any of my colored friends (hey, it’s called the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People…. I didn’t name it) who thought and said the same things.

But like I said, I watch and evaluate what goes on in my country. Regardless of who’s holding the reins.

When Obama became a candidate for President, after serving only a little more than two years in the US Senate (elected November 2, 2004, declared as a presidential candidate February 10, 2007), I said it was stupid, because he didn’t have any significant experience at a national level, and because he hadn’t been a Senator long enough to have a voting history.

Hell, he didn’t even have any dust on his hat or scuffs on his boots.
When, during the campaign, Obama’s pastor, Jeremiah Wright, was exposed as a lunatic, I said Obama’s explanation of being unaware of Wright’s statements was stupid.

After his election, I called many of his appointments, actions, policies and initiatives stupid. And, as time goes on, it becomes apparent that maybe this oldtimer knew what he was talking about.

But in Obama’s case, unlike with Carter, Clinton, Bush, or anyone before, I’m no longer the “loyal opposition”, or a “disaffected Republican”, or even a member of the “vast right wing conspiracy”.

Nope.

I’m a racist.

Hell, up to now, I never thought stupid was a race, even though there’s a bunch of people tryin’ to finish in first place, if ya know what I mean.

I thought race was based on somebody’s ethnicity. On the color of their hide.

Not what was in their head. Or what they did. I thought those were called character or integrity or some other old time thing.

But obviously, I was guilty of some wrong thinkin’.

‘Cause now I got a whole bunch of folks tellin’ me I’m racist.
Black folks. White folks.

A whole passel of folks sayin’ that I can’t disagree with Obama without it bein’ ‘cause of the color of his skin.

That he should get a pass on his stupid words, stupid acts, and stupid policies. That I either shouldn’t notice, or shouldn’t speak out.

According to these folks, the only reason Obama’s doing stupid things and saying stupid things, and following stupid paths, is because he’s not white.

I guess they’re sayin’ he’s stupid ‘cause he’s black.

Which I guess means that all colored people are stupid.

Which, I reckon means that it’s not about character or ideas or principles, but about the color of someone’s skin.

Which, up to now, I always thought was the definition of racism.
Again, more wrong thinkin’, I reckon.

But since I’m now a racist, I figure it’s probably somethin’ I should try to do well.

Do it the best I can.

It’s the cowboy way.

So I’m gonna give ya some words on other stuff as well.

As a racist, I’m thinkin’ that anybody that’s one of them “hyphenated Americans” is stupid.

I don’t much care whether it’s Irish-American, Afro-American, Latin-American, or Left Handed-American.

You’re here? You’re living in this country? You’re an American.

And if you’re not here legally, you’re not an American or an “undocumented worker”.

You’re an illegal. You’re breaking the law, and that makes you a criminal.

So cowboy up and if you want to be a hyphenated American, be honest and call yourself a “criminal-American” or an “illegal-American”.

If you’re an American, and have been for more than a month, then you don’t get to have your special rules. You play by the same rules as every other American.

You don’t get to have a “National Association for the Advancement of Colored People”. I don’t get to have a “National Association for the Advancement of White People”. Try becoming truly integrated and working for the advancement of all Americans.

You don’t get to have a “United Negro College Fund”. I don’t get to have a “United White College Fund”. “A mind is a terrible thing to waste” no matter what color the packaging is.

You don’t get to have a “Black Congressional Caucus”. A “White Congressional Caucus” wouldn’t be tolerated. Play by the same rules as all Americans.

If you want to be here, be an American. Learn the language. Become part of the culture.

Our country’s great strength has always been the melding of cultures of our population. Bringing the strengths of each individual into our country, into our society.

Becoming integrated based on ability and effort, not segregated by skin color or place of birth.

Great Americans like Martin Luther King and Abraham Lincoln risked much to give you the opportunity to become fully integrated. Stop trying to reverse their efforts through self-imposed segregation, regardless of your country of origin or ethnic heritage.

Stupid ideas and stupid actions are not the exclusive property of any race. They’re stupid because they’re stupid, not because the person sayin’ them is white, black, or purple.

But what do I know?

I’m a racist.

Just thought you should know.

Obama Is Our "Coward In Chief"!

Howdy pards,

Been away for a while and managed to get myself hitched to a cute littlle filly. Off on a great adventure and hopefully get some little cowpokes running around soon.

While I was away I was hopin' that our Coward In Chief might have made a decision about our strategy in Afghanistan. especially, since Bush and Cheney gave him a clear road map to follow when they left. Instead of taking sage advice from some seriously in-the-know people, he shelved it and decided to come up with his own ACORN version of military prowess. He hides behind his aids and performs the usual stall tactics because he has no idea what to do. He is so unqualified for the job that he is actually scared himself into inaction. He is frozen like a batter waiting for the full count pitch down the middle and freezes with no swing. Only to be sent back to the dugout with no results. I guess in Chicago a no-hitter is a offensive part of the game as well. Meanwhile; our soldiers are fighting an emboldened enemy who are loving this jackass's inability to make a decision or lead on anything. He has taken no position on either the war, guantanamo, health care public option or the stupidity of his own administration.

With all of this going on I guess it's better to get sidetracked battling Fox news and the Chamber Of Commmerce than dealing with crisis. In Chicago it's easier to gang up on the people who are exposing you rather than make decisions and be a leader. The insecurity coming from the Oral Office is embarrassing. We have a cowardy, insecure and unqualified man who does not possess the ability to lead or make decisions.

This guy, Senator Harry Reid, who is going down in flames in Nevada is being used as the Democratic Party douche bag who goes out and waves the white flag and begs everyone to have sympathy for him. He is the water boy for the Democrats. Reid knows that he is going to be defeated no matter what he does – either for or against the public option. And so, he decides to just go for the most political gain he can from his fellow Congress members, who are about as trustworthy as a snake in knee high field grass. Reid sold himself out to the Democratic Party when he launched into his Iraq-is-lost routine, and he is selling out again, just like he let Obama sell out Las Vegas. When Harry Reid opens his mouth for the media, one can certainly be assured of one thing. Somebody is going to get sold down the river. It just so happens that this time with the public option, Reid is carrying the water for the Democratic Party, which knows that come this November they are going to lose bad. And so, Reid is announcing that the public option is optional, which is like saying that instead of smoking cigarettes you opt for chewing tobacco instead. And we’re right back to the blue pill or the red pill thing. In other words, this thing is dead. Just like Reid announced to everyone’s glee that Iraq was dead, and just like you will probably see Reid drag his out and carry the water again to announce that Afghanistan is a flop too.

Remember this, when the media made a big thing out of Nancy Pelosi stepping away from Reid when he puts his left hand clear across her back around her left shoulder in a way that only a shady character from Nevada can pull off. Reid’s talking point about (not from) Obama was that Afghanistan was to be taken care of in “a time frame to give him an opportunity to have discussions with everybody”. Everybody? Who else does he need? I thought he was the commander in chief. He is supposed to decide. But wait, Reid calls this talking point by the moniker strategy before resources. In other words, I don’t have a clue as to what I’m doing otherwise I would already have a strategy.

Here, go look at it yourself. This is not rocket science. You just have to tune out the media and the way they turned away from this media cover based upon the lack of a war strategy from the commander in chief. The media distracts you with the juicy sexism story about Reid putting his arm around Pelosi and she recoils.

As we were saying, Reid has already announced it, and nobody got it. Afghanistan is lost. The president is clueless about what to do. Just like the economy, and just like Iran, and just like everything else. Clueless. 10% unemployment for as far as the eye can see. Record deficits and no end in sight. The dollar is tanking, the banks are fucking everyone, and the czars really were the communists after all. Wow, joy to the world…

With that said I am heading out to ride the back forty and check on my ranch. Going to clear my mind as I have lots more to write.

OBamma's New Tax Plan

Been busy bringing in my fourth cut of hay and branding cattle. But sitting on that old tractor gives me time to contemplate a few things.

First of all I want to thank George Stephanopolus (I never thought I would say that) for actually asking Obamma a hard question and then calling him out when he lied to all of us once again.

Just so we are clear Obamma, your mandatory insurance is a TAX. It is mandatory under your plan and will be collected by the IRS (that's the fucking government you dolt)and if you don't pay it you will be fined by the IRS (that's the fucking government you dolt). If that is not a tax then how are you going to spin it so you can sleep at night? Are you going to call it a fee, or a cost management agreement, or a health insurance service cost??? How about calling it what it is: A TAX.

Now your so damn condescending to everyone on the planet you think we can't see the forest for the trees. You should have stayed in town a couple of weeks ago and looked out your front window. You would have seen about 100,000 people who don't want or need you or your bullshit programs. However; you did manage to call them classless and racist. Now I know you didn't say it out loud but you didn't stop those comments or acknowledge these AMERICAN's.

I guess unless the people protesting are gay, or black or hispanic or liberal or on welfare or working for ACORN setting up whore houses then we are just racist classless conservative trash. Newsflash Einstein, we are Americans and we have votes.

Don't get so comfortable in your rented mansion that you forget that after next year it's going to be lonely and very quiet around there because you won't have as many Czars and liberals to keep you warm and fuzzy. The cold hard truth about you and your czars is starting to come unwound and that is why you need to be on television every day.

Speaking of that! Are you out of you freaking mind? We have a few issues going on in this world and your on Letterman and talk shows. Your turning the presidency into a Taco Bell commercial. Focus on the job you were hired to do and try not fucking up the country anymore than you have in the last 250 days.

You said you were unaware that ACORN was receiving federal funds? All I can say is that is pretty telling about the kind of lawyer you are since you were their fucking lawyer. You are either the grandest liar in the land or the worst fucking attorney on the planet. Well your a lawyer so that is an oxymoron with an emphasis on moron.

Then you told Stephanopolus that this little ACORN deal was not important enough for you to have an opinion on. Here is another newsflash you dumb ass: YOUR Congress and YOUR Senate voted last week to defund these idiots. I am quite sure Rahm briefed you on that little nugget you lying sack of shit. Oh and in case you didn't know how your job works, that bill will be on your desk for your signature. The best part is it will be attached to your cap and steal bill so your VETO is going to be a real bitch.

I am going to go out to the river and jump in to cool off. Listening to Obamma makes by blood boil. I am too worked up to keep going so keep the faith folks. Time will come when this president is rendered as impotent as a Nevada Boxing Commissioner. The backlash is coming and I pray it's sooner than later.

I have watched him lie for quite some time now and I have to say he is about as good a carpetbagger as I have ever seen. I am not surprised he got his start with ACORN as we can see where their morality level rests. He is by all accounts the most deceiving, untransparent, polarizing asshole this fine country has ever had the misfortune of hiring for the top job. God bless us all for the mistakes our fellow countrymen made when the voted for this false prophet. He will have his day but it will come none too soon for me. Obama’s Congress Speech Full of Lies

Barack Obama’s speech to a joint session of Congress this week came as his healthcare plan was dying a slow death on Capitol Hill, the victim of a newly emboldened Republican opposition that has suddenly found its backbone and red-state and Blue Dog Democrats who went wobbly after a hot August of town hall protests. In spite of White House claims that these protests were the work of industry-sponsored “Astroturf,” anyone who attended them (and I did) can tell you that the opposition came from citizens concerned about the health of their families and loved ones.

Did the speech work, which is to say, did it revive Obamacare? The preliminary evidence suggests that it did not. The latest Rasmussen survey shows an uptick of only 2 percent in support for Obama’s healthcare scheme, from 44 to 46 percent. Obama’s speech will likely lift his job approval and healthcare numbers for a while, but it will be ephemeral. Within a short period of time, the afterglow of the speech will fade, and we will be back to status quo antebellum.

The reason is simple. Obama’s problem can’t be solved with eloquence and speech-craft. The White House’s problem is not one of communications. It has to do with substance. The American people have reviewed the bidding on the healthcare issue, and they have decided (I believe with a certain finality) that they do not want a Big Government, one-size-fits-all solution from Washington that herds millions of people into a public plan and puts a bureaucrat between patients and doctors.

Most of the mainstream media’s focus (predictably) has been on Congressman Joe Wilson, who said during the speech, “You lie.” I am not defending Congressman Wilson’s remark, and, by the way, neither has he. The remark was ill-advised and inappropriate, and he swiftly apologized, as he should have. But two wrongs don’t make a right, and it was just as wrong for the president to tell falsehood after fib after misrepresentation after distortion about both his plan and his opponents’ opposition to it.

Obama’s speech was remarkable for its petulance, its partisanship, and its falsehoods. To put it mildly, Obama told repeated falsehoods about his plan, falsehoods that were bald-faced, audacious, and shameless. Consider just a few of the dishonest statements in Obama’s speech:

First, he said, “I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits — either now or in the future.” If so, then the president should have announced his public opposition to the Senate leadership bill and H.B. 3200, the so-called tri-committee bill that is the House leadership’s approved legislation, months ago. In June the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) found that the legislation will increase the budget deficit by $240 billion over the next 10 years. That’s just the beginning. A new study by the Lewin Group finds that in the second 10 years, it will increase the deficit by $1 trillion. The White House has publicly praised and supported both these bills. So Obama stated a whopping $1.24 trillion falsehood.

Second, Obama said he would not cut Medicare and affect basic care for seniors. On the defensive, he said that “Medicare is another issue that’s been subjected to demagoguery and distortion during the course of this debate.” He called Medicare a “sacred trust” and said “I will protect Medicare.” But the Obama plan includes $600 billion in unspecified Medicare cuts. It destroys Medicare Advantage with $250 billion in cuts, decimating a pro-consumer option that one out of every four seniors takes advantage of and allows them to choose the best insurance and doctor for them.

Even The Associated Press has called Obama on this lie. AP reported that “although wasteful spending in Medicare is widely acknowledged, many experts believe some seniors almost certainly would see reduced benefits from the cuts. That’s particularly true for the 25 percent of Medicare users covered through Medicare Advantage. Supporters contend that providers could absorb the cuts by improving how they operate and wouldn’t have to reduce benefits or pass along costs. But there’s certainly no guarantee they wouldn’t.”

Third, Obama took a cheap shot at Sarah Palin and others who have pointed out that the healthcare rationing implicit in the plan combined with panels of experts approving of certain procedures that allow younger patients to receive care while certain older patients are denied care based on a “quality of life” standard will lead inexorably to the denial of care to the elderly and the dying. Obama said — falsely — that Palin and others have claimed that “we plan to set up panels of bureaucrats with the power to kill off senior citizens.” This is totally false, and Obama knows it. What critics have pointed out is that seniors will be required to submit regularly to “end of life” counseling sessions (detailed on page 425 of H.B. 3200) that, combined with cost controls and rationing of care, could lead to them being denied life-saving treatment.

Moreover, as healthcare expert Betsy McCaughey, chairman of the Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths, has pointed out, the bill includes “substantial funding for comparative effectiveness research, which is generally code for limiting care based on a patient’s age. Economists are familiar with the formula, where the cost of treatment is divided by the number of years (called QUALYs, or quality-adjusted life years) that the patient is likely to benefit.”

Fourth, Obama claimed that the bill does not use taxpayer funds for abortion. This is also false. The Democrats rejected amendments in a House committee that would have specifically excluded abortion from coverage under the so-called government option. In its place, the Democrats took the private portion of the premium (not the public subsidy) and specified that only those funds could be used for abortion services. This is an accounting gimmick. Funds in an insurance policy are fungible, and the fact is that abortion will be massively subsidized with billions of dollars in taxpayer funds for the first time in U.S. history.

Fifth, Obama claimed that his plan did not provide care for illegal immigrants. Here again, false. By rejecting a Republican amendment requiring proof of legal residence prior to receiving care under the government-run plan, the Democrats have opened the door for non-citizens and non-legal residents to receive care for which they have not paid into the system. If one refuses to require proof of citizenship or legal residence, one cannot claim to limit benefits to only citizens.

Joe Wilson has apologized; Obama has not. And when it comes to calling your opponents liars, Obama has no peer. He did so Wednesday night repeatedly. He previously held a conference call with liberal faith groups and accused his opponents of “bearing false witness.” He has told falsehoods about his own plan, repeatedly and shamelessly. As he has done so, he has not only taken the glow off his “Hope, Change” campaign mantra, he has diminished his office. That is a loss not only for his political team, but for all Americans.

I could never have said this so clearly as Ralph because I get to worked up thinkin' about this double dealin' horse thief. But hey, what do you expect from an ivy league lawyer from Chicago who cut his first deal with the likes of ACORN. If it smells like horse shit it usually IS horse shit. Well folks, we have a steaming pile of it in the oval office.

Got to get back to brandin' some cows. That way when Obamma comes and steals them I can get em back one day.

Now I am just a little bit frazzled these days at the way we are all acting as Americans. Our freedoms are being stolen right out from underneath us and it is a direct result of our own incompetence. Who said "We have seen the enemy and it is us?" I forget but it is pretty clear that we are allowing this raping of America to happen. The radical douchebag in the white house has us so divided that we can't see the forest through the trees. This is Marxism/Socialism 101 folks.

The first way to control society is to commandere their health programs as this is the one common denomonator we all share. Next is to silence the voices of opposition which we are doing to ourselves by marginalizing the protests and frustration people are voiceing openly. Step three is to gain control of the media so your message can be controlled. The media czar appointed by Obamma himself actually considers Argentina's government controlled media to be his model for America. No Shit! Can you believe this?

It doesn't take me three minutes to find out which cowpoke in my crew is the one I can rely on and the one I need to watch. Perception is the key. The same with the Czars, he is filling these positions with poeple who have about as much leadership skills and management experience as he does. Which is around fucking zero. The fucking genius was an ACORN community organizer for Christ's sake. He started out as a immoral bastard.

Now I know we need to have changes in order to adapt and survive as a nation but on the eve of 9/11 do we really need to let terrorists and islamic extremists go free while we hunt down and proscecute the brave and honorable people who risked their very lives to gain intelligence from these jackasses. Oh and they didn't cut the head off of any of them on national television. And were the assholes? Fucking give me a break.

America wake the hell up before it's too late. Write a blog and get it out there. Write your senators and congressman and let them know how you feel. By the way I have done this and the standard form letters I have received in return do not bother me. I tried and will continue to try and let them knowe that we are the PEOPLE and they are our servants.

This is one pissed off cowboy and I know a lot more when the sun sets on this administration and they can rest assured that we are ready to act.

Like the minutemen who rallied to break us from tyrrany from an oppresive government over 200 years ago, we American's should be prepared to do the same.

Hello from the saddle folks,

I wanted to share a few fine words I received from a good ol' cowpoke. His thoughts are simple and important and if I could get every American to read this my job would be done. have faith folks because there are people like this still around. Enjoy.

Howdy Pard,
As you know, I grew up in a time of reading books, listening to radio, and at some point watching television.

In a time when America was in the midst of a boisterous economic celebration of a World War II victory, and an ongoing flow of ordinary men who had done heroic things was reintegrating into the fabric of this country’s society.

We could fix, build, or invent anything. If it worked, it was ours.
As a child, I watched these people, and read about or listened to their fictional counterparts like the Lone Ranger, Dick Tracy, and others. The fictional heroes and the real heroes shared some common characteristics.

Honor. Loyalty. Bravery. Dependability. Judgment. Modesty.
As my childhood friends became equally enamored with these heroes, we all tried to emulate those characteristics. Finding someone to play the villain was always many times harder than finding someone to be the hero.

Our parents used this aspiration to generally help keep us in line.
In yesterday’s version of today’s “What would Jesus do?”, we were frequently asked if Roy or Gene or Hoppy would be proud of our behavior.

Bringing disgrace on a hero can be a strong motivator to shape up.
But as we grew older things changed, as they always do.

Electronic media, anxious for an instant story, gave up objective journalism for sensationalism, and reported untoward things about our heroes. Some deserved, some simply blatantly unfounded character assassination.

Wiggle room was now a factor when the question about Roy, Gene, and Hoppy was asked. It wasn’t such a great motivator any more.

Some also learned that occasionally, you didn’t really need to be a hero, as much as to be brave enough to claim to be one.

One of the kids in my neighborhood was given a special day for discovering a house fire and getting everyone out of the house. He was a major town celebrity, until the local fire chief and police chief pulled him out of school one day and charged him with arson.

But at that point, heroes were still letting other people award them the title based on their actions.

At some point, some wannabe hero got impatient. Uncertain. Concerned.

Worried that if somehow he was able to actually do something heroic, people might not notice.

The motivation for being a hero went from doing the right thin g to getting the right credit. And getting the credit right.

In a single generation, we’ve moved from ordinary men, doing extraordinary things, because it was the right thing to do……

To less than ordinary men claiming to be doing (or going to do) marginally ordinary things, because it creates celebrity and media attention.

From modest honor to media whores.

From a President that refused to accept sole credit for the demise of the Soviet Union and the fall of the Berlin Wall……

To a President who is already claiming credit for the success of a stimulus program where only 10% of the stimulus has been spent and who is already claiming that only he has the wisdom, talent, and ordination to determine who gets what kinds of healthcare.

It appears the line between having character and being one isn’t quite as narrow as has been presumed.

In my 40’s, I had the pleasure of meeting Doane Hoag, a name unfamiliar to most all but the hardest core Lone Ranger Fans. To them, Doane was legendary.

His name appeared on every Lone Ranger radio script, and most of the subsequent television scripts. He was the head writer for the Lone Ranger show.

I ask ed him what made the Lone Ranger special, why he was such an enduring hero.

He said that the Lone Ranger was consistent with heroes throughout time: he approached everything with common sense and a steadfast sense of values.
Common sense and a steadfast sense of values.

Two things typically lacking in the media whore culture of the celebrity driven population.

But the same two things that most Americans still use to deal with their personal, everyday issues.

Even the media whores revert to common sense and a steadfast sense of values when it has major impact for them personally. When the p ain threshold gets high enough. Or the risk becomes too great.

If that weren’t true, why wouldn’t Congress jump into the same health insurance program they are trying to force us into?

If that weren’t true, why wouldn’t they send their kids to public schools?

If that weren’t true, why would they be adding government employees when businesses small and large are facing difficult times?

I submit it’s the same reason the kid in school let his fire rescue go all the way to a town celebration. Self preservation.

He knew, and they know, that once their false hero ism is uncovered, they will be shunned worse than a rustler caught breaking the cowboy code.

I sincerely hope that Roy, Gene and Hoppy are still watching over us.

That we are still actively blessed by the leadership imparted to us by Benjamin, Thomas, Ronald, and Newt.

Please God, send us a hero.

We’re well into the third reel, and the heroine is tied to the tracks. The townsfolk are gathering a lynch mob.

The rest of us are praying that our hero is just keeping his powder dry, observing from a high ridge, with a fiery horse.

Michelle Obamma Spends Spends Spends Too!

Just a note on our wonderful first lady Madame Obamma. She is more slick than her non-transparaent husband. I'm a little worried that these two low-rent idiots are setting a precedent for being the first two people to actually remove the respectability of the office of the President and Fist Lady.

You in “big corporate jobs,” how much do you pay your “special assistants” and “deputy directors”? You don’t have any? How strange.

In her speech to the Democratic Convention, Michelle Obama said she’d sacrificed a lucrative career in order to serve her country. “In my own life, in my own small way, I have tried to give back to this country that has given me so much,” she said. “See, that’s why I left a job at a big law firm for a career in public service.”

But I'm not clear on exactly what she was “giving back” to do “public service.” Byron York writes:

In 2006, the Chicago Tribune reported that Mrs. Obama’s compensation at the University of Chicago Hospital, where she is a vice president for community affairs, jumped from $121,910 in 2004, just before her husband was elected to the Senate, to $316,962 in 2005, just after he took office.

The National Review's blog later updated the story:

(I)n the list of earmarks (then-Sen. Obama) requested, $1 million was requested for the construction of a new hospital pavilion at the University Of Chicago. The request was put in in 2006.

At the time, Michelle Obama was still vice president of community affairs. She kept her job until a few weeks before she moved into the White House.

Now, as First Lady, Michelle Obama, gets no salary. She has no official duties. But her “public service” still costs taxpayers a lot. Apparently she requires a staff of 22. Dr. Paul L. Williams says that includes:

Maybe this is just a normal staff for first ladies? No.

Factcheck.org, a project of the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania, looked into the claim that the number of Michelle Obama’s staffers was “unprecedented.”

White House telephone directory records indicate that Hillary Clinton had at least a staff of 13 as of October 1993; 18 as of April 1997; and 19 as of March 2000…

We contacted Katie McCormick Lelyveld, Michelle Obama’s press secretary, to check the list’s accuracy. Lelyveld told us in an e-mail that the first lady’s current staff size is actually 24, not 22.

Lelyveld said that Michelle Obama’s staff was actually no different than that of… Laura Bush. “(I)nsinuations otherwise are wrong," she said.

Lelyveld said that the White House’s "personnel records indicate" that there were 24 staffers for Laura Bush at some point. We were… able to verify at least 18 staffers for Laura Bush, as of June 30, 2008, via the 2008 White House staff list published in The Washington Post’s White House Watch column… It’s possible that someone with the title of "staff assistant" was assigned to the Office of First Lady as well, as is the case with Michelle Obama’s staff.

The First Lady's press office has not responded to a request for comment.

Examiner.com points out that the list of 20+ staffers does not include:

(T)he myriad cooks, butlers, gardeners, chauffeurs, and other functionaries needed to operate the Executive Mansion. Nor does this number include the large (but classified) number of security personnel detailed to protect her and her children.

I knew President Obama was interested in creating jobs, but didn’t think so many would be working inside the White House.

Unbelievable. She has cultivated a toxic garden while she wears Prada shoes and a $2000 frock. She has thrown elaborate dinners and parties for no real reason and has her personal chef working 24/7 so she can have her champagne and caviar on time. Meanwhile, American's are eating top ramen and macaroni & cheese to get by due to her idiot husband's spending. can you say nouveau riche', low rent morons. Remeber what happened to Marie Antionette? Madame Obamma should because it won't be long before America starts responding to this crass and insensative behavior.

Well, got to run and go work since Obamma is buying everyone with zero credit a new car. It should be fun to see how many of these people start defaulting on their car loans because they couldn't afford the loan. Somehow I think Chris Dodd and Barney Frank are involved on this thing.

Obamma Refuses To Tell The Truth!

Hey There Pards,

We have recently seen some interesting stupidity made by the smartest man in the world. He is completely unable to communicate his health care plan, and actually has not even read it (his words, not mine) and he has aliented the entire law enforcement world by claiming racial insensitivity on a topic he knew nothing about. His solution? No applogy. No clarification or remorse for his absurd actions followed by a complete arrogance on the matter and then offering a couple of beers to sweep his idiocy under the carpet. I know I am just an ol' cowpoke but is this guy freaking stupid or what? The media would have you thinking this guy actually is smart. I dissagree. He has made some of the stupidest decisions I have ever witnessed and he has clearly no idea what he is doing.

Those 20 years of listening to the Rev. White apparently did sink in as he exposed his own racism and the huge chip on his shoulder regarding America. This guy (and his wife by her own account) really do hate America. Obviously the anti American diatribe spewed by their very own reverand and life coach (he married them by the way)was absorbed by these two hate-mongers and our lovely and dimwitted president let his slip show last week.

He is angry and hates America. He POUNCED on the Massuchusetts Police Department without even a clue of what was going on. This is the same guy who admitted he had not even read his own health care reform plan while he explained that the entire system is broken and he is the only guy who can fix it.

Now let's get the the meat of this guy's dishonesty and lack of transparency: The Birth Certificate Issue.

It's good practice to take a person at his word until someone shows you proof he is lying.

Barack Obama says he was born in Hawaii, and since no one has shown any proof he was born in Kenya or elsewhere, it's OK to conclude he was born in Hawaii.

Sure his grammar school records show that he was enrolled as an Indonesian Muslim, but some people will say anything to get their kid in the right school. It doesn't really answer the question.

It's OK though for others not to use my deferential standard and continue to question whether Obama was born in Hawaii. We aren't talking about a 12-year-old qualifying to play Little League here. There is a Constitutional mandate that the President be a natural-born citizen, and if Obama is not one, he certainly will have committed the biggest fraud since the White Sox threw the World Series.

The reason why people still question Obama's citizen status is one-fold: "President Transparency" has refused to release any original documents on the matter. He can end the controversy in a day by releasing original documents, but for some inexplicable reason he refuses, and his love-struck media never asks him why he won't. The media instead spends hell-bent hours on making the Birther movement look like fringy, conspiracy-hungry kooks.

You have to admit though, even if you are a devout Obama-bot, Obama's refusal to release any original documents makes for a newsworthy story by itself.

If he really wants the Birthers to shut up, he has the power to do it by releasing the original documents. Why not just do it then? It's a simple task. Why not get rid of a conversation that has been with America since the campaign?

The issue is the subject of several lawsuits, which only seek a peek at original documents. Can anyone explain why it is smarter for Obama to spend tens of thousands of dollars and man-hours defending the suits when he can win the lawsuit for free by showing the original documents?

By defending the lawsuits and not showing the documents, Obama feeds the suspicion of those who already think he is lying. That's why this issue has the power to linger, and that's Obama's fault alone.

Let's look at what Obama has released, and you will see they are hearsay documents and not best evidence.

The Birth Certificate: The certificate put on the Internet by Obama and held up by the media was created in 2007. In the lower left corner of the form there is reference to a Hawaiian statute that was revised in November of 2001, and if you look closely at the front you can see bleeding through from the back the date stamp from 2007 when the document was created. It's a certification that an original does exit.

So the the Birthers say: "Fine. Then show us the original." Obama says, "No." Why?

The Newspaper Announcements: Two birth announcements from Hawaiian local papers show Obama's birth. The Birthers have a couple of good arguments about them. First, Hawaii is where Obama's grandparents lived and it's not unusual for grandparents to announce a birth to their friends, even if the grandson lives elsewhere. Also, if Obama's parents lived in Hawaii then moved to Kenya when they birthed him, it wouldn't be unusual to announce the birth in the old neighborhood for friends to see.

The newspaper announcements cut against the Birthers, but they are hearsay documents and don't answer the citizen question any more than his grammar school records prove he is a Muslim. The original Birth Certificate will end it all.

School Records: The Birthers believe that Obama's records from college and graduate school will show he matriculated as a foreign born student. This is easy -- shut them up by releasing them! Obama's response? "No." Why?

This one reminds me of John Kerry not releasing his Yale records until after the election. During the campaign Kerry soaked in the warm media bath that swore he was the intellectual and George Bush the dolt. When the records came out later it was quietly reported that George Bush had a higher grade point average at Yale.

Media's penchant to cover for Democrat candidates fuels the Birther fire as well. See as an example John Edwards' love affair.

Financial Aid Records: Barack Obama relishes his own personal Sonia Sotomayor-like story of how he came from a broken home and pulled himself up by his own bootstraps. But he refuses to show how his very expensive tuition at Occidental College, Columbia University and Harvard Law School were paid for.

The Birthers believe the records will show Obama received financial aid as a foreign born student. Obama says they won't. Not to sound like a broken record, but releasing the records will end the controversy, and Obama refuses. Why?

The Birther movement is Obama's fault for not releasing the records. I hope the Birthers continue to bite his ankles until he releases the records. He deserves nothing less.

So you see folks, even when he has a chance to clear the air and act like an honest person he fails miserably. He is a fraud and a liar and has no intention of changing that perspective. The next 3.5 years should be interesting as he has become a complete and total failure in 6 months.

Sarah Palin and Jerome Hudson: American Heros

Been a while since I could get down some of my thoughts and share them with yall! I wanted to start by saying that I could not be more proud of Sarah Palin for her steppping down as Governor of Alaska. She did it for all the right reasons and shared those reasons openly with the media. And the liberal media spun her resignation into a false and untrue perspective that is consistent with their liberal agenda. She has been labeled a quitter and that her political career is over. Well it will be very interesting to see how this highly ethical and moral individual rises above them all.

She flat out scares the hell out of them liberals and I love it. They have to continue to break her down because she embodies all the traits we have as Americans such as: Honesty, hard working, straight forward speaking, non political spinning, true-to-your-word, all American girl, and she actually is a fit and attractive and intelligent woman, mother and grandmother. I can see how the media would hate her as what in the hell would the write about in their crappy newspapers. They need politicians that cheat, lie, steal, womanize and behave with no Christian moral foundation. Now that sells papers folks. Not honest, hard woorking folks who just believe in God and family. The media is a sad thing to see these days and the time for honoring themselves will soon come to an end. Sarah Palin you are my hero.

While attending a black fraternity party, I recently learned it’s a bad idea to profess one’s affinity for Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly, Rush Limbaugh, and Sean Hannity.

Worse, according to current polls, it appears I may be the only black 22 year old in America who will be voting for Sen. John McCain.

It’s not that I was unaware that being a black conservative Republican puts me in the ultimate “minority.” After all, Shelby Steele’s classic article “ The Loneliness of the Black Conservative” has become an article of faith that I’ve all but committed to memory.

But I guess I had made the mistake of buying into all that liberal yammering about being “open minded” and supporting “diversity” that I’d deluded myself into believing that a civil, discussion about the herd-like ideological mentality of so many of my contemporaries suffer from was possible.

Boy, was I wrong. Big time!

My official “Negro” card got stripped away. I instantly lost my “blackness.” And now, consequently, I now am greeted with this: “Hey, y’all, here comes The Black Republican.”

And that’s when I think to myself, Hmmm…so this is how it feels to be an "Uncle Tom."

Still, being labeled “The Black Republican” is undoubtedly a promotion from: "Hey, why are you dressed so nice? You got a job interview or something?" Or, worse, “Man, why are you talking like that? You sound white? Who do you think you are? A conservative Kanye West?”

But my path to ideological emancipation began where all the most important things always begin—with my father and mother. Growing up, my Army drill sergeant father was a firm believer in tough love. My parents instilled in us Christian values. But I believe that first part—having an involved mother and father—was critical. With 70% of all black babies being born out-of-wedlock, it’s no wonder black poverty remains entrenched, welfare has become a way of life, and that many of my fellow young black male counterparts choose gangsta life over college.

But it wasn’t until college that I realized I had been ensnared in what John McWhorter calls the “Cult of Victimology.” One of my professor’s pointed me toward a world of literature I’d never been introduced to: Thomas Sowell, John McWhorter, Shelby Steele, Star Parker, Angela McGlowan, Larry Elder, Walter Williams—they obliterated the Leftist foolishness that floods my community.

It was then that my eyes were opened to the truth, a truth that my father was willing to give his life for, a truth that hundreds of thousands of American soldiers have paid the ultimate price to pass on to future generations. And that truth is this: America remains the greatest country that God gave to man.

So imagine me, a member of various organizations that largely consist of young black Americans, most of whom are womb to the tomb Democrats and liberals, speaking openly about the many opportunities and blessings we enjoy in our great nation and refuting Michelle Obama’s supposition that America is a “downright mean place..”

Can you say…..social suicide?

Yes, I’m a member of the Anti-Slavery Party, the party responsible for: the 13th (abolished slavery), 14th (gave former slaves full citizenship rights), the 15th Amendment (gave slaves voting rights), the Civil Rights Act of 1871(protecting southern blacks from the Ku Klux Klan), the Reconstruction Acts, and the 1866, 1875, 1957, 1960, and 1964 Civil Rights Acts.

And no, my brothers and sisters, yesterday’s southern Democrats are NOT today’s Republicans! If so, former Klansman, Sen. Robert Byrd—the highest ranking senate Democrat and President Pro-Tempore of the Senate—apparently didn’t get the memo and forgot to switch parties.

But it’s more than just the history. I’m proud to stand for self-empowerment, personal responsibility, strong family values, small government, low taxes, free markets, a strong military, and individual achievement etc.

And don’t even get me started on which side stands up for the precious 1.4 million unborn children (32% of whom are black), who will be casualties in the war inside the womb. When I see these so-called “black leaders” bashing conservatives for “racist policies,” I wonder how they justify cheering on the political team who proudly defends the annihilation of 13 million black children since 1973.

And conservatives don’t care about black people? I don’t think so!

No, I think I’ll ride with the team who says enough with the welfare cancer that has destroyed people’s innate desire to achieve. Yes, I’ll ride with the folks who respect me enough to consider me their equal and not insult me with Affirmative Action racism. Yeah, I’ll ride with the gang who would rather create effective policies than emotional “feel good” symbolism that robs individuals of their desire to aspire.

So while it may take a little getting used to walking into college parties where I’m known as “The Black Republican,” I now realize I am a newly inducted member of a rich tradition of ideologically emancipated black conservatives. And guess what? I’m more than cool with that. I’m proud, actually.

“The conservative Kanye West”?

Hmmm….

Has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?

Well the Summer is finally here in the desert and the temperatures are rising. But hell, my temperature has been rising since last November anyway. It's going to be a long hot pressure cooker this year as we continue to watch our government flounder in the face of adversity. Thank the Lord that my ol' horse Cherubino has the patience to listen to my ramblin' all day in the saddle. Somehow I know he is as frustrated as I am.

Let me take a moment to thank everyone at Fox News Corporation for doing your job. We can't say that about another news medium in this country and that is just plain sad folks. They dig and report news stories and have the gall to try and get you some tructh behind them thoughts. They report both sides truthfully and is just so happens that the liberal media hates that. It's pretty plain to see why Obamma is unhappy with the continued coverage by Fox because they tell you the truth and frankly that means that most stories are going to be unfavorable to Obamma and his minions. The truth doesn't come bundled in a wrapper of confusion and misdirection, unless your ABC, NBC, CBS, MNBC or the New York Times. They want to control what you hear and what you percieve through their filtered version of the truth. Fox just gives it to you straight.

Fox is like a shot of Tequila; strong and sometimes it burns a little going down. The truth is not always what you want to hear but at least you get to decide that for yourself. The liberal media is like one of them fruity drinks where your really not sure what your drinking but the big slice of fruit on the glass makes you feel better (and it usually costs five times more).

It took me some time to parse down what I think the major difference between conservatives and liberals is! Here is what I came up with: Liberals want everyone to think the same way. Conservatives want everyone to think for themselves!

The other night I watched Obamma complain about the one media outlet he can't control. What he said spoke volumes about him. or should I say what he didn't say! He did not bring up any other news source with regards to his complaining and I found that pretty telling with regards to this country's sorry state right now. Fox News has not caved in and become a weak and pathetic journalistic version of a calf sucking the teet of it's mother!

They have become, with great abuse from all other sources of media, the red headed step child. But the funny thing is they lead the nation in every aspect of ratings. I ask you why is this? It's because someone in their head office did not take the money, did not drink the kool aid, did not roll over to pressures and intimidation, and has actually stood up for the truth and it's 5th Amendment Right to express the truth without having to lick Rahm "Tiny Dancer" Emanuelle's balls for approval first.

This is best represented by the infomercial that ABC will provide us with next week with regards to Obamma's Health Care Plan. They will use their version of the Sham-Wow guy, Charlie Gibson, to help pitch this trilion dollar travesty to the American public. Again, this is pretty telling because obviously no one is listening to their message and they feel the need to use their in-house television studio to promote this plan. I am sure the only people who will be able to advertise on this segment will be Chrysler, GM and David Letterman since the government owns all three.

I'm seeing cracks in this guys shining armor and as we proceed the folks of this great nation will take heed and rise up against this adminstration's attempt to fleece you of all the freedom's we have worked so hard to obtain. It's unfortunate that we have to wait and vote out a bunch of people in the next election because these liberal carpetbaggers will have done so much damage by then that it will take generations to repair their mindless and self rightous bungling of our nation's constitutional freedoms.

So thank you Fox News for keeping the flame of truth lit and please keep on doing your job with heartfelt thanks from one cowboy out West. God Bless all you American's both legitimate and illegal. Keep up the good fight.

Letterman and a Great Letter From An American!

Let me just state this for the record: When was the last time David Letterman was funny? I think it was 1972 when he had his first Top Ten List and Pet Tricks thing. Then nothing. I have not watched his show or seen his act in years because the guy is just not funny. Now he thinks he is a politically savvy humorist. well I have news for that city slicker, your an unfunny comedian who's ship has sailed and it would be a good idea to start thinking about the next liberal douche' bag that will sit in your fucking chair late at night.

Now I have something special that was sent to me by a good ol' cowpoke named Jim Work! How about that name for a good Republican. He shared with me this letter from a hard working American that everyone should read:

This letter was sent to the Wall Street Journal on August 8, 2008 by Alisa Wilson, Ph.D. Of Beverly Hills, California in response to the Wall Street Journal article titled "Where's The Outrage?" that appeared July 31, 2008

Really. I can tell you where the outrage is. The outrage is here, in this middle-aged, well-educated, upper-middle class woman. The outrage is here, but I have no representation, no voice. The outrage is here, but no one is listening for who am I?

I am not a billionaire like George Soros that can fund an entire political movement. I am not a celebrity like Barbra Streisand that can garner the attention of the press to promote political candidates. I am not a film maker like Michael Moore or Al Gore that can deliver misleading movies to the public.
The outrage is here, but unlike those with money or power, I don't know how to reach those who feel similarly in order to effect ch ange. Why am I outraged? I am outraged that my country, the United States of America, is in a state of moral and ethical decline. There is no right or wrong anymore, just what's fair.

Is it fair that millions of Americans who overreached and borrowed more than they could afford are now being bailed out by the government and lending institutions to stave off foreclosure? Why shouldn't these people be made to pay the consequences for their poor judgment?

When my husband and I purchased our home, we were careful to purchase only 0what we could afford. Believe me, there are much larger, much nicer homes that I would have loved to have purchased. But, taking responsibility for my behavior and my life, I went with the house that we could afford, not the house that we could not afford. The notion of personal responsibility has all but died in our country.

I am outraged, that the country that welcomed my mother as an immigrant from Hitler's Nazi Germany and required that she and her family learn English now allows itself to be overrun with illegal immigrants and worse, caters to those illegal immigrants.

I am outraged that my hard-earned taxes help support those here illegally. That the Los Angeles Public School District is in such disarray that I felt it incumbent to send my child to private school, that every time I go to the ATM, I see "do you want to continue in English or Spanish?", that every time I call the bank, the phone company , or similar business, I hear "press 1 for English or press 2 for Spanish". WHY? This is America , our common language is English and attempts to promote a bi- or multi-lingual society are sure to fail and to marginalize those who cannot communicate in English.

I am outraged at our country's weakness in the face of new threats on American traditions from Muslims. Just this week, Tyson's Food negotiated with its union to permit Muslims to have Eid-al-Fitr as a holiday instead of Labor Day. What am I missing? Yes, there is a large Somali Muslim population working at the Tyson's plant in Tennessee. Tennessee, last I checked, is still part of the United States. If Muslims want to live and work here they should be required to live and work by our American Laws and not impose their will on our long history.

In the same week, Random House announced that they had indefinitely delayed the publication of The Jewel of Medina, by Sherry Jones, a book about the life of Mohammed's wife, Aisha due to fear of retribution and violence by Muslims. When did we become a nation ruled by fear of what other immigrant groups want? It makes me so sad to see large corporations cave rather than stand proudly on the principles that built this country..
I am outraged because appeasement has never worked as a political policy, yet appeasing Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is exactly what we are trying to do. An excellent articl e, also published recently in the Wall Street Journal, went through over 20 years of history and why talking with Iran has been and will continue to be ineffective. Yet talk, with a madman no less, we continue to do. Have we so lost our moral compass and its ability to detect evil that we will not go in and destroy Iran's nuclear program? Would we rather wait for another Holocaust for the Jews -- one which they would be unlikely to survive? When does it end?

As if the battle for good and evil isn't enough, now come the Environmentalists who are so afraid of global warming that they want to put a Bag tax on grocery bags in California; to eliminate Mylar balloons; to establish something as insidious as the recycle police in San Francisco. I do my share for the environment: I recycle, I use water wisely, I installed an energy efficient air conditioning unit. But when and where does the lunacy stop? Ahmadinejad wants to wipe Israel off the map, the California economy is being overrun by illegal immigrants,=2 0and the United States of America no longer knows right from wrong, good from evil... So what does California do? Tax grocery bags.

So, America, although I can tell you where the outrage is, this one middle-aged, well-educated, upper middle class woman is powerless to do anything about it. I don't even feel like my vote counts because I am so outnumbered by those who disagree with me.

Broadway,Harry Reid, and the Other Asshole!

Sorry for being away for the month of May but that's when I get to spend a week or two riding horses and hanging out with like minded, clear thinking people. Yeah, you guessed it, no liberals were invited on this trail ride. At least none that admitted it openly. Which tells me that being a liberal is kind like being gay in the military, don't ask and I won't tell. Too bad you can pick them out of a crowd by the way their underwear sticks out of the back of their jeans.

We need to cover a few items that have popped up while I was breaking trail:

First, let me congratulate our new president for making another mindless decision with regards to his own self interest. I just love the fact that the night before he tells 29,000 auto workers that they will be out of jobs, he loads up onto Air Force One and heads off to the big city to see a Broadway Show on the American People's dime. Does this jackass actually think before he acts? Clearly not.

And that leads me to the next topic:

Obamma, you need to stop campaigning and actually do some leading. Your not trying to get elected so you can back down from the stupidest idea you have come up with yet: Closing Guantanamo. Hey Obamma, no one, and I mean NO ONE, including your own liberal comrades voted for this. Get a clue and SHUT THE FUCK UP on this one. The prison works and houses some of the most vile human beings ever apprehended. Oh yeah, try and remember we are still in two wars with these mother fuckers. Don't listen to Hairy Reid when he says the war is lost. How the hell would he know anything when he is too busy asking you to fly to Vegas and stump for him because he has no chance at re-election.

Which leads me to:

Why in the hell are you flying to Vegas when you told everyone who took TARP money to avoid Vegas or they will be prosecuted. The last time I checked we pay for your fucking plane you jackass. And don't you have plenty on your plate keeping you busy because a campaign flight to Vegas is just fucking stupid you myopic idiot. Oh, I forgot, you probably wanted to take in the Blue Man Group so you covered it with a senseless trip to a State that you burned and then turned your back on. One thing I know about Nevadans is they have a long memory pardner.

And finally:

In the last 30 days I have not heard one peep out of Nazi Pelosi. Funny how you shut down your mindless diatribe when your caught in a big fat lie. Everyone was watching Pelosi and now it's up to you, and you alone, to prove that the CIA lied to the world. That is a pretty big monkey on your back you clown. Or should I say scarecrow! Now I am no beauty myself but this woman would keep corn fields free from crows for a millenium with that frightening mug of hers. I think Holloween mask sales will go through the roof with the Pelosi mask on sale.

Well, I got to run. Heading back out to bail the first cut of hay this season and put in an honest days work. That way I can pay for some lazy liberal who is waiting for the government to feed them tacos and tuck them in at night. TELEPROMPTERS AND AIR FORCE ONE!

Let's get straight to business today. Is it me or is the president a complete fraud. I was watching his press announcement the other day and he stumbled so hard I was shocked. He lost complete composure because his teleprompter malfunctioned. Does anyone ever remember a great leader who needed one of these things. We need to have a leader that thinks on his feet for a change. This guy couldn't formulate a comprehensive response to a Wendy's order at the drive thru. Without a teleprompter and a speech writer this guy is the Wizard Of Oz. Now remember when dorothy pulled back the curtain and found that the actual Oz was a smarmy little tool. Well I am sure his teleprompter writer feels just like that guy.

But let's move on to something more interesting...........

Let's see, Obamma threatens to prosecute all the intelligence gathering people for obtaining information that has kept our Country safe for the last seven years. And then he doesn't even know that his own fucking plane is buzzing the Statue Of Liberty scaring the begeezus out of an entire city. Then the fool states that he just learned about it on CNN. Are you kidding me? This guy has single handedly made this country look like a fucking third world banana republic. And he doesn't even realize it.

Hey Obama, here is a suggestion from A simple cow poke: Let the military and Intelligence people do their jobs and you just keep reading what they put on your teleprompter and watching CNN for intelligence updates. Oh and please tune into Fox News once in a while and see what is really happening. No offense to Wolf Blitzer but if we want to know the color of Bo's dog shit we can tune into CNN or Charlie Gibson. But for real news I will stick with unbiased, honest reporting.

I have to go and dig a new outhouse pit. Apparently I filled the last one with the New York Times.

Bo Obamma - The First Dog

Mornin' Friends,

I had to just say how happy I am that the Obammas have finally chosen an animal for their family. Watching them with this pup on CNN made think of two things:

1. This family really needed a pet as they were pretty happy with Bo.

2. They have never had a pet and they are lucky to have staff and servants to care
for this animal for them.

I hope they are responsible pet owners and Bo lives the dream I was taking a walk with my own buddy Mickey the other and saw these two beautiful dogs playing in the park. I approached the owners and inquired as to what breed were these wonderfully active dogs? "Portugese Water Dogs" the proud owner exclaimed.

I watched them dogs run all over and they are a fantastic breed. I am sure glad they cose this type of dog and for the first time I actually found myself supporting an Obamma decision.

Well done Obamma. I hope your learn from that and make a few more worthy decisions.

Perez Hilton Who?

Just poured me some black John Wayne coffee from the pot and was reading the morning's paper. I was taken back about the frenzy over this whole Ms. America flap. She spoke her mind and most of us in this wonderful country agree with her. So why the issue? Apparently an untalented, insecure, fame-challenged, spotlight seeking pillow biter found himself asking questions that he did not want honest answers to. Is this what our world has come to? Remember back when truth and honesty was held in high regard. Note to this douche' bag blogger Perez Hilton: "Son, if your going to question the honesty of people you asking questions to then use your fucking real name you asshole!" The absolute hypocrisy on this flamer is rediculous. Now I am no homophobe and I am not a racist but this guy/girl is no a voice, he's a fame-seeking queen and should stick to blogging and having foam parties at Pure Night Club on his birthday. Here is an opinion from CNN (Real Journalism) for this fucking idiot to read:

Welcome to the world of Miss California, Carrie Prejean, who, since she answered a question regarding same-sex marriage in Sunday's Miss USA pageant, has been savagely attacked by those who oppose what she had to say.

Leading the burn-her-at-the-stake parade is media opportunist Perez Hilton, the self-described gossip queen, and the individual who kick-started this controversy by asking the initial question as to whether the issue of same-sex marriage should be left up to the states.

It seems that Hilton, who is gay, was none too pleased that Prejean chose to actually give her personal opinion on the issue, and ripped her on his blog after the show, using crude obscenities as he continued to attack her at every turn on his media blitz.

Hey, Hilton, from a real journalist to a wanna-be who traffics in gossip: Never ask a question if you're unprepared for the answer!

Frankly, this whole story is pretty stupid. Isn't the whole point of asking a question to get someone's true feelings, rather than the plastic and superficial answers we are all used to receiving?

Sure, Prejean could have gone the safe route and given one of those answers that reveal nothing and is hard to decipher -- you know, the ones politicians give all the time -- but no! She actually gave her real opinion, and is now being torn to shreds for it.

She opposes same-sex marriage. OK, fine. So what if she had said, "Hey, I'm in full support of same-sex marriage." Would she now be celebrated on gay-focused blogs, magazines and Web sites? Would her detractors actually be saying how open she is and that she's a great person?

Same-sex marriage is undoubtedly a hot button issue. And being from California, the site of Proposition 8, the ballot initiative that voters approved outlawing same-sex marriage, Prejean has surely had to hear the debate go back and forth. But her remark isn't outside the mainstream. A CNN/Opinion Research Corp. poll shows that 55 percent of Americans are against same-sex marriage, and Proposition 8 did pass in her state 52-48 percent. iReport.com: Prejean 'should step down'

What's interesting about this is that many of the same folks who are slamming her for her remark voted for President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, who both have the same belief: that marriage should be between a man and a woman.

Even Secretary of State Hillary Clinton made it clear that she has the same view, and it was her husband, President Bill Clinton, who signed the In Defense of Marriage Act, the federal law that forbids states from having to recognize gay marriage in other states.

In other words, four of the biggest liberals in the country have the same belief as Prejean, but a beauty pageant winner is being torn to shreds. Hello, hypocrisy!

Those who criticize Prejean have the same right as she does to express their viewpoints. But enough with all the political correctness, where someone says she should have danced around the issue, smiled and move on. iReport.com: 'Thank you, California!'

At the end of the day, we all have to be true to ourselves. Whether it's a gay gossip writer who favors same-sex marriage or a heterosexual woman who is against same-sex marriage. Washington's Return Policy

Morning Y'all,

I had a great suggestion from one of my ranch hands this morning that, at first, had me laughing, then seriously thinking about his idea.

HOW COME WE DON"T HAVE A RETURN POLICY FOR POLITICIANS?

Now I don't have to tell you how I had this vision of a person pushing a shopping cart loaded with Obamma, Pelosi, Dodd, Frank and Reid heading towards the Returns Window at the local federal building.

Clerk: Hmmmm, lets see what you have here! Ok, you can get full return value for Obamma as he is still under our 100 day return policy and has not succeeded on anything yet. But I'm afraid you will get no credit for the rest as they have been recalled as defective and will be discontinued in the future. Oh, we do have a special returns policy on Geithner as he apparently never paid taxes so you will need to return him to the Return Window at the IRS building as we won't touch that one with a ten foot pole.

American: I understand that we can actually get money back for Al Franken is that true?

Clerk: Yes we are actually going to pay you a large sum of money for doing mankind a service and returning this model so we can avoid having this mistake happen again. This is our new policy and will also apply to Dina Titus, Hillary Clinton, Rory Reid (hairy reid's incompetent son) and any Republican that voted for the Stimulus Bill.

Wouldn't it be great if we could enact a return/refund policy for Hollywood as well. I personally would ask for the vocal chords of Jon Stewart for filling my ears with liberal slanted humor and bitter ideology on a comedy show. -- During a Feb. 25, 2009, interview on CBS' "Early Show," Biden encouraged viewers to visit a government-run Web site that tracks stimulus spending. When asked for the site's web address, Biden could not remember the site's "number."

"You know, I'm embarrassed. Do you know the Web site number?" he asked an aide standing out of view. "I should have it in front of me and I don't. I'm actually embarrassed."

-- At a Jan. 30, 2009, swearing-in ceremony of senior White House staff, Biden mocked Chief Justice John Roberts for his presidential oath blunder on Inauguration Day.

"Am I doing this again?" Biden said, after Obama asked him to administer the oath. When Biden was told the swearing-in was for senior staff -- and not cabinet members -- the vice president quipped, "My memory is not as good as Justice Roberts," prompting a stern nudge from Obama.

-- On Jan. 31, 2007 -- the day Biden announced his presidential bid -- the Delaware Senator was roundly criticized for calling Obama "the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy. I mean, that's a storybook, man."

I am sure this guy is making all of you liberals proud. Is this the best you can do? I will follow up with the gaffs by the man himself next time. Is it me or is Barney Frank the biggest pile of shit we have ever elected to Congress. Yesterday a law student posed a simple questions to him during a college question and answer session: "Mr. Frank, what responsibility, if any, do you share in the failure of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac?"

Barney absolutely lost it. He was unable to answer the question, became indignant and proceeded to blame everyone from LBJ, Reagan, The Red Sox, Chuck Norris and William Shatner for the shortcomings of these two massive financial institutions. The young law student pressed him and reminded him that he was Chairman of the Committee as well as acting Chair for both of these during their failure. He melted into a spittle ridden, idiotic ramble about how he has single handedly saved this country through his brilliant decision making and personal life choices.

What is wrong with American to tolerate this guy? When did we let snake oil salesmen destroy our country while we just watch. Dodd is also one of these self-agrandizing jackasses that places blame for his horrific decisions on a lame duck president and a media tarnished administration.

We have to do something about these people. We have to NOT RE-ELECT them to begin with. The we have to prosecute them for their obvious double dealings. They are arrogant and feel like they are bulletproof to any attacks. We need to wake up the rest of the country and get htese people out of Washington. We will take care of Harry "The Body" Reid if you Californians can get rid of Pelosi. Dodd and Frank are doing a fine job of destroying themselves.

International Diplomacy and an IPOD

Evening Friends,

Just sitting around the campfire smoking an ol' cheroot and getting ready to climb in my bedroll and dream of happier times.

But sittin' here under the stars gets me thinkin' about the last week and how our new Prez has represented us around this big blue marble. Now I'm a little biased as a country gent and I have always believed that being a cowboy represents all the wholesome and honest traits we Americans represent. But good ol' Obamma has put a pretty wild spin on that thought.

He has single-handedly made us look weak, appologetic and confused. He appologized for America stating that we have been arrogant. He has confused arrogance with confidence. The world has looked at America with respect becuase we do what we say and handle things. Talk is cheap when your the only one on the end of a decision to do the right thing. He has made us look stupid and awkward in the face of the world. O'Bamma is long winded and indecisive, making statements that are placating and appeasing to his chosen audience.

George Bush was a cowboy. He told people where we stood and that was that. The world followed that course and we found ourselves in one of the safest countries in the world. Now I fear that these terrorists and extremists or Jihadists, or whatever we choose to call them this week, will look at us and think "This is our chance to bring these westerners down"!

Everytime he tries to be a diplomat I am reminded of the guy in school who always tries to befriend the bully. It usually ends in an ass kicking and then anyone standing nearby gets a piece too. Except the rightious guy who defends the nerds against the bully when things get out of hand. He has taken that rightousness away and made us part of the weak ones. Who is there to stand in the way of the bullies now? Where are all the cowboys? They are not from Chicago and they are not community organizers/liberal attorneys with a socializing agenda.

O'Bamma has never seen a tough guy stand up to a tougher guy. He is a lawyer and by this single attribute he desires to remove any strengths one may have against another by defending the wrongdoer. He is a fraud who has been elevated to a position beyond his capabilites.

I challenge anyone who reads this blog to look at the headlines of any European newspaper and see just how we are viewed in their eyes. That tool Charlie Gibson won't report that.

And on a final note, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING GIVING AN IPOD TO THE QUEEN OF A COUNRTY. For the love of God, Hire a Director fo Protocol and get her a signed copy of something by Abraham Lincoln so the country can receive the gift not just her. He missed the biggest opportunity to provide a symbolic gift to our greatest ally and he gives an IPOD. I gave my nephew an IPOD for his birthday. O'Bamma you are dumber than we have given you credit for. We don't care what's on the thing, only that you blew it once again becasue you just can't see the forest through all those O'Bamma trees.

Hobby Rocketry

Well Howdy Pards,

Sure you been reading the papers about the recent rocket launch from North Korea. One thing I am assured of as a result is these idiots couldn't send a monkey to Japan successfully. Now don't get me wrong, them bastards need to be checked for sending rockets up without a clue.

We have some Eagle Scouts who have earned their rocket badge and thereby qualify as flight director for the North Korean Space Program. Now that sounds funny to say, like mentioning the Mexican Thermonuclear Design Laboratory and Tequila Production facility. By the way they have a badge in that too.

I have done some model rocketry and I have to say that repeated launches is the ultimate goal. Just to shoot one up and see how it goes is not really the end game in rocketry. For example, I would have sent up a test launch first to see if I could successfuly get the proper altitude before I loaded the spy cam in the rocket for those great pictures. Same applies to North Korea. They should have sent a few test launches up before the loaded the thing with a 2 billion dollar satellite. But hey, if your testing the international waters you may only get one chance. Well, I truly hope the satellite was water proof because the only thing they will be exploring is the bottom floor of the Sea of Japan.

Just wondering who is really feeling threatened by these guys. One more screw up and someone is going to send in a drone activated solo 3l Kilo and take out the whole site. Oh yeah, it will be a Korean American who graduated from MIT operating out of a mobile RV in the Nevada desert. So much for the Korean Space Program. Hoo boy.

LIBERAL MEDIA: EMPTY NEWS REPORTS

Just rode in from the ranch where I was enjoying the Spring weather and the last few freedoms we American's have left. I am sure there will be a time, too soon in coming, where I will have to fill out a government voucher so I can check out a horse from the Government Horse Allocation Program before I can go riding on my bank-owned ranch.

I was reading the paper this morning over a pot of black coffee (no I am not racist), I just like it without cream and sugar, and noticed that the news is no longer real. What we read and absorb on a daily basis is filled with half-truths, spin and flat out lies in order to form an opinion that will direct our thinking.

News media is, for the most part, run by liberals with a liberal agenda. That alone puts a pretty drastic spin on the contect of their stories. For example: Where is the follow up with Senator Chris Dodd who, single handedly, installed the language in the stimulus bill that allowed AIG to get their bonuses. The media has somehow forgot who is REALLY responsible for this fiasco. No mention of how Sen. Dodd, Reid and Ensign received lots, and I mean lots folks, of money from AIG and no one seams to think this is news.

Where is the outrage in the media regarding the passsing of the largest spending bill in our country's history without even being allowed to read it. And where is the outrage printed in the media regarding the broken campaign promises regarding earmarks, lobbyists and transparency that is missing. I did not vote for O'Bamma but I am quite sure that the 50% of American's that did, based on these promises, are getting a little pissed off about being lied to. But where is the news media to cover these items? They are too busy focusing on their liberal diatribe.

But one thing is clear: Be careful what you wish for! We are seeing newspapers closing all over the country because people don't believe what they are reading is the truth. This trend will continue because we American's don't like being lied to and then spoon fed the news that has been spun so we will all be misdirected to the truth.

There will come a day when the New York Times and other blindingly biased publications will go bankrupt because no one will trust these sources for truth. But that is OK because the government will BAIL OUT the newspaper and then own it and it will be business as usual: Biased News With No Truth.

I sure wish I could enter a positive comment once in a while but things are just out of control in Washington. Lets review this week:

Senator Dodd: (1) VIP Special Loan for two houses by CountryWide Financial
(1) Check from AIG for $250,000 for his campaign
(1) Check from Countrywide for $200,000 for his campaign
(1) Cleverly disguised approval of bonuses for AIG for $170 million
(1) Nicely pointed finger at Geither laying blame to a clause he
installed in the bail-out money.
(1) Inappropriately directed blame on the current administration for
his horrible, last minute, behind-closed-doors deal to reward AIG
execs who had contributed tons of money to his campaign.

Sec. geithner: (1) Clever admission that he had no prior knowledge of the AIG bonus
(1) Clever admission that he knew of the AIG bonuses
(1) Clever admission that he only suggested that Dodd change the
verbage allowing these bonuses.
(2) Reasons why he should be fired: Tax Cheat and Liar

Pres. O'Bamma (6) Direct lies regarding his knowledge of his Secretary's activity
(1) Phony statements of Outrage while still allowing this to happen
(1) NCAA picks that most likely will be as poor as his cabinet picks
(1) Tonight Show appearance in which he only offended a couple of
groups of Americans, warranting a public appology.
(1) unbelievably contrite statement: "The Bucks Stops here" which
translates to: "The bucks stops here but if it is $170 million
then thet it slide!"

We can't seem to get a straight answer from this Policy Of Change adminstration. As far as I can tell thiings have gotten murkier and more convuluted with regards to thier efforts. Somehow, I think Hillary Clinton is glad to be sticking her foot in her mouth daily on foriegn soil these days.

We sure are getting some mixed messages.

Obama’s message on the economy has been as volatile as the stock market itself. When he needed public support for his stimulus plan, he spoke in stark and gloomy terms.

“The picture is likely to get worse before it gets better,” he said in his weekly address on Jan. 31. “Americans know that our economic recovery will take years — not months.”

That was too dark, in the eyes of many Democrats and the markets.

So once the stimulus passed — and criticism of his bummer message mounted — he shifted to a more optimistic take on the economy, at one point encouraging people to consider hopping back into the market. That was seen as too bright.

This week has seen a mix of both sunshine and clouds, including Vice President Joe Biden’s warning that Obama inherited a worse economy than Franklin D. Roosevelt did, when the country was facing 25 percent employment and the economy stayed weak for a dozen years.

Is it a good time to invest, as Obama opined last month, or a good time to run for the hills? Billionaire investor Warren Buffett told CNBC the government needs to be clearer about whether people should be confident or fearful: “It’s the nature of the political process, somewhat, but we’ve had muddled messages.”

Defending the White House approach, an Obama aide said: “We’ve made sure people know that nothing is a panacea, there are no silver bullets, and it’s going to likely get worse before it gets better, but we have this plan; you should put confidence behind the president, and people do.”

Who voted for this asshole. I mean is he a leader or the biggest coward we have ever seen. I am surprised he doesn't shake from fear when he gets up in the morning. Michelle definately wears the pants in the family. She has more courage in her little finger than he has in his whole bloodline (which includes some seriously untraceable content). He rolled of of his helicopter the other day snapping some cool hip style salute to the marine standing guard. It's the little actions O'Bamma that make you look like a 10 year old in over his head. When you approach a marine, have the courtesy to stop, make eye contact, and snap off a salute like you were the commander in chief. You have not earned their respect but they sure have earned theirs. What a classless douche' bag.

If anyone takes offense at my comments then understand this: "I will treat your president the same way you treated mine!" When he has earned his stripes I will be more than happy to give him his due. But he is a Chicago politician with NO expereince. He is a community organizer (WTF is that?) And he did nothing as a seated senator except vote on all of the things he despises about our government, and wants to desparately change, and now is unable to accomplish a single thing with out fucking it up. That is becuase he doesn't know jack shit.

He has tried to surround himself with the right people and he has fucked that up too. Tax cheats, liars, political lobbyists, good old boy-back door appointments. I mean for fucks sake, he got the country so scared that if we didin't pass the rediculous stimulus package in time so he could sign it in dnever, the country was going to cease to exist. He rammed that so far down our throat that no one even got a chance to read the fucking thing and now, on the very first transaction of the bill we find that these liberal fuckers approved the payment of $170 million dollars to the very assholes that got our country in this position in the first place. And then we find out these companies have not even paid their taxes to the tune of $400 million dollars. Just what the fuck do they think they are doing?

AMERICAN'S WAKE THE FUCK UP! I WANT O KICK EVERY JACKASS WHO CAN'T NAME THE VP, TREASURY SECRETARY, OR ANY BASIC CIVIC LESSON 101 QUESTION, BUT THEY STILL VOTED FOR O'BAMMA BECAUSE THEY WANTED CHANGE.

Change from what: A secure nation with one of the best free and open economies on the planet. We had capitalism and freedom to succeed or fail on our own accord, now these liberal fuckheads want to take it all away and make it so you have to go to a gonverment office to take out a car loan or get some penecillin.

Pardon my language but there is really no other way to say what needs saying. He has lied to us all and has broken most of his promises so far. Here are a couple of examples:

Promise #5: Sunlight Before Signing

What he said:

“Too often bills are rushed through Congress and to the president before the public has the opportunity to review them. As president, Obama will not sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public an opportunity to review and comment on the White House website for five days.”

What he did:

Obama signed the Lily Ledbetter bill, the SCHIP/cigarette tax hike, and the stimulus bill all with far less than a five-day waiting period that he promised–and continues to promise–on his campaign Web site.

Promise #4: Lobbyist Revolving Door

What he said:

“No political appointees in an Obama-Biden administration will be permitted to work on regulations or contracts directly and substantially related to their prior employer for two years. And no political appointee will be able to lobby the executive branch after leaving government service during the remainder of the administration.”

What he did:

Obama appointed Goldman Sachs lobbyists Mark Patterson chief of staff at the Treasury Department, where he directly oversees his former employer, a recipient of $10 billion of taxpayer funds from the TARP. Obama also appointed Raytheon lobbyist William Lynn to be an undersecretary of Defense.

Promise #3: No Tax Hikes on the Poor

What he said first:

“I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.”

What he did first:

By signing H.R. 2 into law, Obama happily signed onto the idea that smokers should pay for a $35 billion expansion of the State Children’s Health Insurance Plan (SCHIP). Cigarette taxes are going up 61 cents a pack starting April 1. Obama signed this bill knowing that the majority of smokers in the United States are working poor, and one in four lives below the federal poverty line.

What he said next:

“If your family earns less than $250,000 a year, you will not see your taxes increased a single dime. I repeat: not one single dime.”

What he did next:

Ignored the already-hiked cigarette tax at the time of the statement and then this restated promise was broken just two days later, when the Obama’s budget proposal was released. His new budget raises 45 percent of its revenue from energy taxes that will be paid by everyone who fills a gas tank, pays an electric bill, or buys anything that was grown, shipped, or manufactured.

Promise #2: Pork Barrel Earmark Reform

What he said:

“The system is broken. We can no longer accept a process that doles out earmarks based on a member of Congress’ seniority, rather than the merit of the project. We can no longer accept an earmarks process that has become so complicated to navigate that a municipality or non-profit group has to hire high-priced D.C. lobbyists to do it. And we can no longer accept an earmarks process in which many of the projects being funded fail to address the real needs of our country.”

What he is expected to do:

The White House has signaled that it intends to sign the $410 billion Omnibus Appropriations bill, which according to Taxpayers for Common Sense, contains 8,570 earmarks totaling $7.7 billion, including dozens of wasteful pork-barrel projects. These earmarks were awarded based on seniority, not on merit, and were mostly the result of high-priced lobbying, precisely the process that Obama promised to end. When the omnibus reaches his desk later this week or next week, we’ll find out if this is one more broken promise.

Promise #1: Big Government

OK, so this one is more of a statement than a promise, but it’s the biggest whopper of all.
What he said: “Not because I believe in bigger government — I don’t.”

What he did:

Obama proposed a budget that is breathtaking in scope, a blueprint for the biggest permanent expansion of government in history right on the heels of a sweeping trillion dollar stimulus plan. The budget lays the foundation for a government takeover of the health care and energy sectors and dramatically increasing spending across the board, other than defense weapons programs. Spending as a percentage of the economy under this budget will reach the historic level of 27.7 percent this year. The deficit as a percent of the economy, at 12.3 percent, is set to be the biggest in the entire history of the country outside of the four peak years of World War II. Anyone who offers such a budget can only fairly be described as a believer in bigger government.

Now I have seen liars and thiefs and he isboth. He lied to get elected and has stolen our freedom and country from right out from underneath us. He is a carpetbagger of the highest order. And he has a snake oil salesman in Pelosi and Reid to help him sell his lies.

Here is a nice letter from a lawyer-to-be. Sounds like they may be teaching these guys some common sense for a change.

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

We don't like re distributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU.

Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O' Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them).

We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens.

We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood .

Just a quick note to say howdy and tell y'all that we got us a serious ethics dilemma going on with our Vice President, Joe "Smoke and Mirrors" Biden.

Seems his boy and brother were part of an investment team taking a lot of money from that Stanford character who bilked his investors for billions. Funny how an elected official can get this type of money through an unscrupulous entity and weave it through his son and brother so there is not trail. And this guy is the watchdog on the stimulus package! For the love of God does no one care anymore about being honest and forthright. Not to mention where the damn hell is this guys integrity.

A fund of hedge funds run by two members of Vice President Joe Biden's family was marketed exclusively by companies controlled by Texas financier R. Allen Stanford, who is facing Securities and Exchange Commission accusations of engaging in an $8 billion fraud.

The $50 million fund was jointly branded between the Bidens' Paradigm Global Advisors LLC and a Stanford Financial Group entity and was known as the Paradigm Stanford Capital Management Core Alternative Fund. Stanford-related companies marketed the fund to investors and also invested about $2.7 million of their own money in the fund, according to a lawyer for Paradigm. Paradigm Global Advisors is owned through a holding company by the vice president's son, Hunter, and Joe Biden's brother, James.

The fund has offered to turn over the $2.7 million investment it received from Mr. Stanford's firm in 2007 to a court-appointed receiver in the SEC's civil fraud case involving Mr. Stanford, according to Paradigm's attorney, Marc X. LoPresti. The fund terminated its relationship with Mr. Stanford's companies after the SEC filed civil charges against them last week, Mr. LoPresti said.

Mr. LoPresti, who represents Hunter Biden and James Biden, as well as Paradigm, said he didn't know which Stanford entity invested the roughly $2.7 million. He said the Bidens never met or communicated with Mr. Stanford. He siad, she said horsecrap!!!!

I guess them Asses in D.C. didn't think anyone would read this thing. Heads are gonna roll on this one friends. Even Hairy "The Body" Reid might get some on him, especially around 2012.

My Granddad used to tell me stories about these outlaws that used to run down the Wells Fargo Wagons and hold em' up. Take all the money and valubles, even the saved up money in the strong box sittin' under the outrider up top. They they would make off to their hidden lair somewhere in the hills, split the money and go their own ways. Being careful to avoid the possies and lay low for a while.

I am not sure if I am hearing a story or a news report on the Government's antics this last week. I guess my Granddad knew a thief when saw one and last week it was confirmed: The Washington Stagecoach Has Been Robbed!!!!!

People, we have been robbed and our strongbox taken by unscrupulous, self indulgent, politicians with their own personal agenda. Half this country has let them. And I don't blame em' much because we are in a pile of cow patties. We can stat with them dudes in control of our financial markets and banks. The tail has been wagging the dog for some time but it is ALL of Washington and Wall Street that needs to be checked. But the Senate has donned handkerchiefs and mounted their jets and are making off with the funds of this beloved Country. It's an everyone for themselves attitude in that town Folks!

ABC News' Jonathan Karl reports: The House Appropriations Committee just posted its $410 billion 2009 Omnibus spending bill. It's a doozy. This is the bill that will fund the government's operations until the end of the fiscal year. It's larded with thousands (so many, I can't count them all yet) of earmarks and adds up an increase in overall discretionary spending of more than 8 percent, the biggest one year increase since 1978 (with the exception of the spending boost after the September 11 attacks).

And this is a bi-partisan feeding frenzy. Roughly 40 percent of the money for earmarks (i.e. pet projects inserted by individual lawmakers) have been inserted by Republicans.

I am still combing through the bill, but here is what has caught my eye so far:

- The City of North Pole, Alaska (motto: "Where the Spirit of Christmas Lives Year Round") gets $1 million to improve its wastewater treatment system. That's $571.43 dollar per citizen.
- $1.75 million to acquire land for the Cape Cod National Seashore.
- $2.2 million for the Center for Grape Genetics in Geneva, NY
- $2.4 million for the Southeastern Poultry Research Lab in Athens, GA
- $42,000 for "Arbuscular Mycontizal Fungi" in Wyndmoor, PA
- $1 million for Corn and Soybean Research in Wooster, OH
- $1.8 million for the Honey Bee Lab in Weslaco, TX
- $1.8 million for Swine Odor and Manure Management Research in Ames, Iowa
- $443,000 for Beaver Management and Control in Mississippi
- $208,000 for Beaver Management and Control in North Carolina
- Several hundred thousand for "Blackbird Management" programs in KS, LA, ND and SD.
- $657,000 for Brown Tree Snake Management in Guam
- $1,049,000 for "Mormon Crickets" in Utah (I am told they are neither Mormon nor are they crickets)
- $162,000 for Rodent Control in Hawaii
- $209,000 to "Improve Blueberry Production and Efficiency" in Georgia
- $254,00 for the "Montana Sheep Institute"
- $413,000 for Tri-State Joint Peanut Research in Alabama
- $2.9 million for Shrimp Aquaculture in AZ, HI, LA, MA, MS, SC and TX
- $277 million for 2nd Avenue Subway
- $210 million for LIRR terminal in Grand Central

Did this just say Morman Crickets, bees, pest control, tree snake management, etc. And don't forget the research for the Montana Sheep Institute! Now, I been to Montana riding herd outside of Polson and some of them boys talked about sheep a lot, so maybe that's legit. But boy is there some pigs in this farm eh?

Pelosi and Ried Have Doomed Our Country!

Hey there Cow Pokes!

I guess there is no turning back from what has just been done to our beloved Country. Our founding fathers are all turning in their graves as we have literally sold the USA to the highest bidder. Our founding fathers took us to war to get us out from the tyrrany of an oppressive government. And guess what? We just decided to give up that freedom for $13 a week.

And when this was done to us where were our fearless leaders? Pelosi was on a private jet (we paid for) heading to Italy. Reid was tanning at the local Rio Tan (because he is actually translucent in color), and O'Bamma was dining in Chicago at Oprah's favorite restaurant. Where is all the URGENCY we heard last week when we were told the country would cease to exist unless Harry Reid got 8 Billion dollars for a bullet train. And I can only imagine that the tracks will somehow run through Searchlight, NV even though it's off the beaten path. It is just a guess but somehow I thnk he owns a couple of acres located on the proposed track line.

It's really too bad President Obama couldn't figure out a way to jettison these two who are poster children for everything that is wrong in Washington. The Associated Press called the birth of the stimulus bill "sausage making" in the best tradition of Washington politics as usual.

Filipino veterans, most of whom don't live in the U.S., will get $200 million in compensation for World War II injuries. And: $2 billion in grants and loans for battery companies, $100 million for small shipyards and a rollback of the alternative minimum tax at a cost of some $70 billion.

That should help our middle class get jobs, home loans and business loans. For the love of God.

The criminal part of this boondoggle is divided into two parts. The first is the Democrats promised to post the bill a full 48 hours before the vote was taken to allow members of the public to see what they were getting for their money. Both parties voted unanimously to do this ... and they lied.

The second part of the crime is the contents of the bill itself. But no one has read it so how in tarnation can we begin to understand what this thing will do when we don't even know what it is. I am sick over this whole thing.

President O'Bamma is three weeks old as our leader and has successfully sold out our nation and our children's future. I can't wait to see what he does to Iraq and Afghanistan. He will probably convert our military into an islamic brigade defending Muhammad and cry jihad on anyone trying to gather intelligence on these terrorists.

Next, he will take our guns and the only people who will be able to defend themselves will be the criminals. But that makes sense coming from a radical, liberal lawyer from Chicago.

That's it. I have had it. I am going to go to the outhouse and think for a while. I will bring my copy of People magazine with O'Bamma on the cover so I have somethin' to wipe my ass with.

Senate Finance Committee Are Frauds!

Just watched a bit of the Senate Finance Hearings regarding the 10 largest banks in peril and the CEO's who are trying to do what they can to turn this banking disaster around.

It was painful to watch these arrogant senators questions the ethics of these CEO's while it is widely know that they have taken more money than any of them in contributions to their own campaign funding.

In the 2008 election cycle, House Financial Services Committee members received more than $26 million in campaign donations from the finance, insurance, and real estate sector, including $5.3 million from the securities and investment industry and $3.3 million from commercial banking, according to the non-partisan Center for Responsive Politics.

Part of that $26 million is $984,148 that Frank received, including $224,000 from the securities and investment industry and $110,000 from commercial banks. Almost $2 million that the committee members received came from the very eight banks represented at the hearing, the center states.

Their report states that these financial institutions gave a total of $1.8 million to committee lawmakers in the 2008 election cycle.

The chairman himself, Frank, received $63,250 from these banks. Ranking member Rep. Spencer Bachus, R-Ala., almost doubled that sum, having collected $116,950.

Over time, one bank alone, JP Morgan, has given Bachus more than $96,000. Frank has received more funds from JP Morgan than any other company, union, or organization since 1989.
But Bachus and Frank are not alone in their dealings with these companies. A total of 18 committee lawmakers have their own personal funds invested in the eight banks at the hearing. Conflict of interest? Your God Damn Right!!!!!

The hypocrasy of these idiots knows no bounds. I almost can't take the lying and the fraud that these senators are conducting, in plain site, on a daily basis.

I am going down to the local saloon and drink some whisky because it will help me forget these jackasses are ruining our country.

Democracy My Eye!

Today is going to be a tough one to get through. In case you have been hiding under a rock you might have seen that the single largest spending bill ever considered in the history of our fine country was passed today by the Democratic party. It's funny but a few years back our country was made up of people from several parties that made up our government. Now we have one party headed up by Pelosi, Redi and O'Bamma.

Even O'Bamma reached out across the isle to include the Republican's view on this bill. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid would have none of it.

Credit House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for getting the ball rolling. Under her leadership, House Democrats excluded Republicans from having any voice in crafting the stimulus package.
Acting like children who hadn't seen Santa Claus for eight years, House Democrats busily loaded up the bill with stuff they had been unable to get for eight years. It was payback time.
Contraception, funding for the arts, restoration of the national mall, stop-smoking programs. All while Americans lose their homes, their jobs, and their savings. It was both childish and disgraceful.

And even Joe Biden gave it a 1 in 3 chance of working. Funny how O'Bamma laughed that off and embarrassed his VP by dissing him during his FIRST press conference. Unbelievable. In the office three weeks and he has destroyed our democratic process, something we have been shoving down the throats of Irag for 6 years. They just had an election and I am sure they are scratching their heads watching their big brother implode on our own democratic process.

At least Harry Reid got the 350 million for ACORN so they can stuff the ballot box with homeless and illegal immigrant voting ballots so he can continue his free reign.

Oh yeah, walls treet really likes the whole stimulus package as it plummeted down in the worst day of trading since O'Bamma was elected. The confidence is overhwelming. I often wonder if anyone if actually reading a newspaper past the headlines stating that O'Bamma has a new BlackBerry.

The real game starts if and when the Senate passes a bill devoid of a bunch of the garbage the House Democrats stuffed into it. Then it goes to a conference committee where the drama will be whether, in a grand twist of irony, President Obama and the Republicans wind up aligned against members of the Democratic Party in an effort to get something realistic on the table before the economy simply slides the rest of the way into a deep crevasse.

Meanwhile, angry voters are jamming Capitol Hill phone lines screaming about the politics as usual that is so far the hallmark of the new administration. Welcome to Washington, Mr. O'Bamma.

That is all I have to say as I am a Conservative and have had my voice removed by several of the most effectively divisive idiots ever elected.

I'm Going out to the barn and hit the heavy bag and get it all out because I know one thing; When the smoke clears on all of this Pelosi and Reid's approval numbers will make Bush's look like the numbers for a certain pilot named Scully. It will be rewarding to see OJ Simpson having higher approval ratings.

EXECUTIVES SHOULD BE ON TIME - ALWAYS!

Looks like we have elected another liberal to the presidency who has absolutely no idea what he is doing. Just last night he stated:

"So then you get the argument, 'well, this is not a stimulus bill, this is a spending bill.' What do you think a stimulus is? That's the whole point," Obama said to laughter

It is a sorry spectacle when our own president doesn’t understand the difference between spending and stimulus. This is the major point! He obviously did not work on any legislation while a senator for Illinois and has very little understanding of the process or vernacular. And joking about it really comes off as Presidential (sarcasm here). I guess he thinks his comments might be better received if he was in his Hawaiian shirt. I am pretty sure flip flops and board shorts will soon be the oval office attire.

O’Bamma should have ushered a few bills through the process instead of constantly running for election. He has very little knowledge of how to manage in an executive position. You can see how he constantly tries to appease everyone and stays away from criticizing his own party for the inability to CHANGE! He has lambasted the conservatives who only want to get the bill RIGHT the first time. They want to pass a Stimulus Bill but not a Spending Bill and that is where O’Bamma just can’t see beyond his own ignorance. It would be better for the whole Senate if he would take Air Force One to the islands and let law makers with experience do their jobs without the constant Chicken Little “The Sky Is Falling” comments all the time.

I have seen 10 year old Boy Scouts with better leadership skills that this guy. He is not the man I would want in battle as all he would do is complain that the enemy has us outnumbered and if we don’t use all our ammunition we are going to get killed. The guy just doesn’t seem to plan. He has hired a lot of people to plan for him but he really has no idea where to start as an executive.

He arrives late to all of his meetings and affairs because the people who know what they are doing are already there, on time I might add, making decisions that he swoops in to approve. This guy is the quintessential scene stealer.

We are in week three and I am absolutely amazed at how inept he is in the simplest things. I have also noticed the media is getting exasperated with is constant inability to communicate a single point clearly. And he always starts his comments with: “Let me be perfectly clear on this”, then manages to lose complete focus and understanding three words into his responses.

Now let ME be clear, I like O’Bamma. He seems to be a good American and has his heart in the right place. He has worked hard to get where he is and is a good moral and righteous father and husband. But as an executive he is lost. Having no skills he relies on those he has surrounded himself with and that is a risky thing to do.

Now I could talk all day but I have to go out and brand some new calves and get my horses in the barn before the snow hits.

Stimulus Free Package

I was just sittin' here on my porch listenening to the most recent interview with President Obama. Ol' Charlie Gibson, ( you know, the guy that can't ask hard questions to anyone but Sarah palin), yeah him, well he came right out and asked this guy why the Stimulus package was chock full of pork and earmarks. I damn near fell off my rocker! Pres. Obama said he did not know what ol' Charlie was talking about as there were NO EARMARKS in this bill. Now I took that right our of the transcript and I was blown away. Either this guy doens't know what an earmark is (and that's possible because he never did anything as a senator) or he is so caught up with getting this thing crammed down our throats he just believes his own stupidity.

The GOP listed 400 Billion in useless earmarks on CNN and they posted it. I wonder of any of them liberal osteriches can pull their head out of the sand long enough to read somethin'.

They are so dead strong on making sure that no conservative voice is heard in this country and frankly that reminds me of the commie nations where free thinking and the sharing of ideas towards a common goal are squashed by the controlling government. I swear on the Good Book that Hairy Rude would sell his own mother into slavery if he could squash the thoughts of his fellow senators on the Right. And Nazi Pelosi sold her soul to the devil because she has absolutely no honor or ethical understanding at all. she filled the package with her 350 miilion STD prevention earmark and The President shut her down like a Canadian Goose through a Boeing aircraft engine.

Let's move on to our new CIA Chief who goes in front of congress for has approval today. Leon Panetta, who's previous experience in the White House was running the office staff. Is it me or are we out of our minds to put a glorified office manager in the highest office of intelligence? Let's not forget to mention that this guy gives speeches about bank failures and is a registered lobbyist. Well I guess that's OK because the O'Bamma people have reversed that ethical decision three times now.

I have a theory about these appointments and it favors O'Bamma. I figure he is appointing these lobbysist and tax cheats on purpose to they will be discovered by the Senate Confirmation Committees (providing a Republican actually askes them hard questions) so their ethical and legal problems can be discovered, and subsequently they are forced into shameful retraction. I think this is actually quite brilliant. He goes on TV and says "I'm Sorry, and that was a big mistake!" and he is off the hook but as a result we discovered three tax cheats and several lobbyists in our midst. He saves face and we get some transparency. This would be truly brilliant if it really was intentional.

As my learned amigo south of the Rio Grand tells me, we are in big trouble with this administration. Capt. Kirk at "Underground Republican" makes it pretty clear that most of this country has been hornswaggled. They (all the obama cool aid drinkers) elected a man who has absolutely no idea how to run an executive office. What are his credentials; law school, community organizer (WTF is that), freshman senator with no floor time, and mired deep in the scratch your back Illinois politics. radical associations with domestic terrorists (Canada would not even let obamas buddy in their country), good guy deals on property and taxes with Rezko (a full blooded felon), and I guess we are lucky that he went to church for twenty years but managed to not hear a single racist comment. Quite impressive.

Out here in the West we have a little different philosophy about honor and integrity but I have to admit that our own idiot senator reid never learned these values and is making an absolute mockery of himself and our country. he may get fragged by his own military before it's all over.

I have to head down to the old saloon as the town committee wants to make me sherriff. No thanks, I don't need a star to bring some common sense to this liberal town. Until next time.

After spending most of my life protecting the President and other dignataries in Washington, I have decided to retire and spend my time watching the liberal/democratic Tom Foolery unfold from afar. Is it me or is this country taking a liberal nose dive into socialism. I am shocked and scared that we have leaders like Nazi Pelosi and Hairy Reid riding shotgun on the stagecoach of stupid. Next stop, Searchlight, Nevada, home of Dingy Hairy.

Nazi Pelosi may be the worst elected official in the history of the senate. It makes sense that California is in the shape it is when they keep electing complete idiots like Pelosi and Fienstein. And Shwartznegger isn't exactly the cure all for California's shortcomings. The, follow the leader Governator is slobbering all over this Spending Bill so he can have money to pull his sorry arse out of the economic quagmire. Hey Negger, why don't you start rounding up all the illegals in your state and make them pay taxes. All the money that is paid to these immigrants is shipped to Guadalajara and Californian's get to pick up the tab. Then you complain that you just can't balance the budget. Hasta La Vista Governor.
